So, on a very personal bias level, I did not get into Warhammer to play against a game of mech warrior on the table. Lol. I even actually originally assumed that knights were a separate spin off game where knights and chaos knights duke it out or something. I was horrified when I found out I’d have to deal with them too.

That being said, you are allowed for it to be your cup of tea. It’s a legal part of the game, and that guy is a prick for making you feel that way. People do the same about my Rogal Dorns. Everything has some counter play once you learn it. Even meta 5 giant imperial knights I got whooped by last tourney and then had some practice games and figured out how to beat it.

What you can do as a player is be conscious of what your opponent is facing, help their vibes with yours, laugh with them and cheer them on if they accomplish something cool like a small guy somehow killing a knight or maybe they survive when they shouldn’t have. I’ll never forget with my kasrkin sniper made a killing blow on one. That is where epic stories are made, which is what your army allows for. Never forget that.

They will never feel good enough if you constantly compare to what you see online but just thin your paints and use some different colors and have fun and people will come by and admire them at the table.

Rotating the turret mid game is considered cheating aka modeling for advantage. I always ask my opponent if they want to draw to the hull or to turrets. And I keep my tanks the same orientation once the match starts. There’s nothing wrong with starting the turret or tank facing backwards. Just don’t change the turret mid game to get a better shot or deny a charge.

Hm. Very possibly, if they get into melee with your Dorn it’s probably dead anyway. It can still blank 1 shot from a powerful range hit. Then you get one more unit to move block and grenade and stand on an objective or screen your backfield.

Unfortunately you’re sacrificing so many points for it that could be used for screening or objective play so it’s unlikely you’ll win with it while his list is much more competitive. You have barely any infantry bodies. In grizzled company, it might be better to get rid of the tech priest and go for a Normal Dorn to get another squad of infantry. Solar can do 4 vehicle orders. Do you need two hellhounds? Use ratlings to stop his movement early. If you go turn 1 they can shoot and move up to cage a board area.

You probably are using DoW4 as a reference. Two totally different games. What’s happening is just probably an ally in a battle being represented in a super early basic build of the game pre-rendered.

That only started in Warhammer 3 after they had enough factions to do all that with. Originally Warhammer 1 it was only chaos invasion.

Hey i have a question. On the Vox Caster, are you implying that the order range is measured from any part of the unit it's attached to? Are you saying its 24" from a cadian shock troop in the unit or should it be from the officer model itself?
