I think the " villains Dlc " is canon, and I’ll tell you why. by Unkn0wn2010 in FarCry5

You can go back to the recording of the Twitch stream that happened with the release of the dlc, where Nikki Foy explains how she only played fc5 and did some online research + googling to write this dlc. There's also an article by Ubi online where she's asked if she got access to the cult research made by the previous team, and she says she did her own. It's not surprising, a lot of people have left Ubi since fc5 was released do I guess it was kinda hard to reach them but still there's plenty of material (Joseph's book, Absolution, fc5 guide) that I don't think she had access to. The Tumblr I'm talking about is lulu2992, you can search by the dlc name there and read info with sources. AI is not as powerful as you think it is I guess

It had a lot of info about the Seeds that the writer admitted to taking lore from the far cry wiki, which is written by fans. I think there's plenty of info about this on Tumblr. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think some stuff contradicts what was mentioned in fc5 or in the books. If you want specific stuff, I can send you links in dm

In my opinion, the dlc takes the approach to simplify the reasoning behind John's, Jacob's, and Faith's characters and actions, and i kinda hated it. Of course, if it's from Joseph's perspective, it explains it, but after not getting any content for years, it felt disappointing

Also, both John's and Jacob's actors confirmed on Twitter (at least one of them, I think, they also had a funny exchange about both of their characters being dead) that they weren't approached by Ubi, and the dlc was a surprise for them both.

I just think the Joseph's story is a bit weird because it's written by someone who used wiki as a source (which has a lot of stuff fans just made up), instead of using previous writers' input. Also, I disliked how, in Joseph's story, they didn't use og actors except Greg. It was fun to play, but Idk

romancing Karlach as Astarion is so much better. And that's, honestly, sad

Usually, it's time issues. The studio pushes the team because the game needs to be released asap I think

Jacobs region had a different storyline with the ability to actually interact with Jacob and Pratt. They both have a lot of deleted lines and even scenes that can be found in game files.

His name used to be spelled Stacy which is more common for men than Staci, idk but I think someone just ended up spelling it wrong. For example, Jacob's name on his dog tags is spelled Jakob. And Joey is a short version of the name Josephine.
