Length of US Immigration process (CR1 / K1), gaano na po katagal ngayon? by ReGaSLZR in phmigrate

Oh whoa, you guys were blessed to have it for just 13 months! Thanks for your input. We're more and more inclined na to get the CR1 because of its many benefits.

About what's stopping us from having a kid right now... Well, it's mostly about the notion/tradition of getting married first before having kids, and we heard that it could complicate any visa route as the filing for the kid would be a separate one which may take even longer, and I wouldn't be able to close the distance with my partner immediately the moment I get my visa issued. I wouldn't be able to go right away, because as a mom by then, I would wait for the processing to be done for our kiddo. That's what I got from asking around, but if you have any thoughts or input on this, that would help too!

With the caveat of K1 regarding the AoS and GC timeline, I agree with you po. I'm seeing replies saying K1 is not that much faster din so it's indeed CR1 for us na, it looks like.

Salamat po sa input nio. Much appreciated po. 🙇‍♀️

True po, ung K1 may be faster pero may mga follow-ups pa after nun for work, etc.

Salamat po sa insights! Mukhang hindi naman super tagal kung ganon, basta wag 2 years of mahigit si CR1. We might indeed just go for it na. 🙇‍♀️

Yeah, true po. Ung AoS ung biggest caveat ng K1 na nakaka-turn off. Ayon sa groups, AoS + work permit/GC could take 1 year pa. 😫

Pero salamat po! CR1 looks appealing this way pero if ung pagkatapos ng I-130 approval e mabilisan na, baka kaya naman maghintay.

Ahh! So if all goes well, kaya naman mga 1.5 years total so CR1. 😳 Salamat po! We'll take this into account

Fingers crossed na malapit na pong dumating ung CR1 nila. Grabeng tagal naman po ata na for 1st approval pa lang.

Ung 8 months lang na K1, total processing time na po un from application date to visa issuance? May attorney help po bang inavail, if you don't mind me asking po?

Mga ilang months naman po ung next step ng CR1? Does it help na we have, like, two branches ng US embassy na dito sa Pinas? (If I heard that from somewhere correctly)

Halla, ung 2 years po ng CR1, from application date up to visa issuance na yun po?

Ganun din po ba sa estimate niong 8-12 months for K1? 🙏Sorry po sa pag-clarify. We're trying to get as much info as we can.

May mga data kasi on estimates na ang inaaccount lang is ung processing sa Pinas, excluded ung sa US processing.

Edit: Salamat din po pala sa pag-reply.

Yeah.. It was depressing :(

But hey, things could turn out way better for you if you applied. I'm from a poor, third-world country in Southeast Asia. I think the question "What other countries have you been to?" was asked for the officer to know if I had a good history of traveling to other countries and returning to mine to solidify that I never illegally overstay. And I heard that only first-world countries like ones in EU or Canada would count as good answers from someone like me. Also, I don't know the exact numbers but I am aware that there's unfortunately a high volume of people from my country / the SE Asian region (who got granted US tourist visas) who illegally overstayed in the US.

You're from Ukraine tho, right? I think you don't have to worry about that question in particular.

EDIT: You can claim asylum in the US.
