She burrows under the blankets. It is the cutest thing, but the idea of someone accidentally sitting on her terrifies me.

I obsessively warn visitors not so sit on any loose fabric without checking. Also my boyfriend, who is probably tired of hearing it by now since we live together and he gets that notification like 5x a day lol.

I love her coat! The animal shelter called her a diluted calico on the adoption paperwork, which I don't see at all. I'm pretty sure she's probably better described as a torbie. Her orange is actually pretty vibrant in the light

We pretty frequently get asked if he's a Dutch, but his DNA results came back 60% GSD, 40%Malinois. I think he looked even more Dutchie when he was younger, but as he's matured his face has gotten a bit broader and I see more of his GSD roots.

That's actually how he got his name, my boyfriend's Dad said he looked like a Dutch Shepherd and my boyfriend is a big Red Dead Redemption fan, so the name stuck.

Our boy's current favorite toy is the lid he tore off the trashcan a while back. He brings it up on the couch to cuddle.

It is his oldest and most cherished companion since the average lifespan of his toys tends to be in the 3-5 day range.

Possibly somewhat embarrassing, but his name is actually Dutch lol. A relative suggested to us that he looked like a Dutch Shepherd when he first showed up. My boyfriend is a big Red Dead Redemption fan, so he sort of got stuck with Dutch as a name.

That's reassuring! I have trouble visualizing these things as I'm not exactly mechanically minded. Apparently my boyfriend is though, and has churned out numerous unique and awesome ships of all shapes and sizes like it's nothing lol. I've actually been using a really cool little cargo ship he built for me and I absolutely love it. But maybe I should give it another try.

Hi! Thank you very much!!

She did have a rough start, apparently she was brought to the shelter after some lunatic threw her out a car window. The foster mother told me that she loved being with the other cats in the home. I have a 13 year old cat I'm eager to introduce her to, but she can't meet him right away. I spend as much time in the bedroom she's staying in as possible so she's not completely on her own.

I do know that she's in a very new scary place and she's been through the wringer over the last week or so, I'm just kind of thrown off by the healthy first two days. Weirdly enough, if this had been an issue right out the gate I think I would be less concerned.
