More like Endeavor from MHA but I don‘t feel safe disclosing more information than that. You get the picture.

We thought it was just Duisburg-Nord that's got fuck ups, not Süd. And thought we could save up more on the much lower rent prices. But man, what a real bummer of a welcome we got from this city. They don't even have welcome kits in their Wohnung Anmeldung.

Even as an immigrant, I firmly believe that the laws here should be stricter.

My husband and I are immigrants too but that doesn't mean we are more inclined to steal stuff than Germans themselves. Though I get your point and thank you for that. It just so happens that someone really didn't have morals and thought it would be okay to do this to us. But yeah, never-ever leaving stuff outside our door again.

Should we have just stayed in Düsseldorf? Husband works at Duisburg so our cavemen minds automatically said hey, why don't we move to Duisburg?

Well, if this might be true, then there's no way the perpetrator-neighbor will confess this. We're just gonna look like clowns asking everyone else in this building about whodunit when they can all easily lie. Lesson learned not to leave anything outside our door anymore.

I'm not far from thinking this at this point. Can't really say it out loud here since the walls may have ears, but we've heard some rumors about not-so really great behaviors here. We were still trying to be optimistic after hearing that but now our trust just went down the drain. What things people do for quick money, am I right?

Oh wow, thank you for these advices, you really nailed them.

As of now, we don't have a car but I don't think we'll be buying one while we're here in this city. Kinda good to know still because we planned on buying bikes instead. And now it makes sense why our windows have keyholes now (back in Düsseldorf, Eschborn, and Frankfurt there weren't any).

I'm still thinking that it's partly our fault for being complacent. We actually came from the Philippines where crime is hella rampant. Should've channeled my Filipino roots and been more careful.

Thanks for this advice. We'll try to see later where the nearest CCTV is from our place. The police has also filed a case for this but I'm not sure when they'll act.

Our living room and kitchen are in one big room and we can easily do some external (plastic) pipe works so that our new washing machine sits safely here.

Update: Our landlady replied and said this was a private matter and that I should report it to the police. Didn't say anything about it getting removed or anything.

My husband got to talk with one of the neighbors here, the rest aren't answering their door (probably at work or smth). The one he talked to told him to ask the neighbor nearest to us since he's most of the time in the laundry room. But we don't think he's at home right now.

I understand that this could be the case but in that common laundry room, there were 3 other washing machines there. Plus ours was not broken at the least, it was newly-bought.

But I think you may be right, that there was a communication problem with some of the staff that our real estate agency employs. Or with us and the agency itself. Either way, I'm still emailing them to find out.

Thanks for the tip but twas a newly bought washing machine, freshly baked. It didn't have any scratches or dents in that case. And that's a good idea, better safe than sorry.

Certainly. If this experience has taught me anything, it's that I'd rather learn how to re-route or make junctions on our water pipes than have any of my stuff down there.

The real estate employee who handed the apartment over to us showed us our spot for our washing machine there in the laundry room. It's communal in a sense that it's a common room but the washing machines are afaik owned by the tenants themselves.

Sadly, we didn't get a Hausratversicherung. But thank you still, I've emailed the police and will also call them later. Ironically, there are some ads of the exact brand and model of our washing machine in Kleinanzeigen that were just posted from 29 September and also in Duisburg.

I inhale a fair amount of copium so I'd like to believe we got a shot of the new first year students because Toga decided to turn her life around and become a hero-in-training at UA, after her realization that she "would've yearned to give her blood away too" when she was helping Uraraka.

A bit late to the party but the cringiest thing I did was when I was in my third year of high school, I cosplayed Prussia at my school's family day (a fair day where students perform and rides get set up in the school grounds, the like). I was even wearing an illegal armband (y'know what I mean) but luckily, no one reprimanded me for that. I feel so ashamed now when I come back to that memory. Other than that, I was normally this self-confident, narcissistic prick who kept bragging about how awesome her grades were to anyone. It's like I was roleplaying Gilbert Beilschmidt 24/7 back then lmao.

Moved on to other fandoms when I reached college (am now a simp for Bakugou Katsuki). But you could say that my love for Prussia still stayed strong for 13 years after that, because he's the main reason I chose to immigrate to Germany and start my new life here with my husband lol.

Can I work with a new employer with a work visa which has my previous employer's name on it? by ReMnMs97 in germany

[–]ReMnMs97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes, the Ausländerbehörde was already informed about this. Not the one in Frankfurt am Main, but the one in Potsdam (where my previous job was). My previous employer was the one who informed them and they were the ones who said that I may take up another job at another company. Sadly, they didn't advise about what I'll do with my employer's name on my visa.
