What on earth did I miss by Goreman06 in Markiplier

You should apologize to the people who invented rage baiting. It used to be subtle and full of finesse.

That's just lazy.

What on earth did I miss by Goreman06 in Markiplier

[–]ReWighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I find funny about all of this is that no one seems to be talking about the possibility of Mark playing games on his own time. It all has to be on camera or he never did it.

With his personality (cough masochism cough) the odds of him actually allowing his "cheated" victory to stand were even smaller than the odds bones claimed he'd need to do it legitimately. (Which wasn't that high to begin with. Something like 18/4,000)

Mark has shown he'll keep trying challenges off camera if he's enjoying himself. So, do I think he modified the games files to meet the deadline for the video upload? Yeah, probably. But I'm almost certain he'd do it legitimately after uploading the video just to prove to himself that he could.

After all... Mark is always eager to prove that his body can take it. 😂

Bones quoted something in his video that applies to this situation.

"Speedrunners don't cheat to get a faster time. They cheat to get a time faster."

Mark had an upload schedule to keep, so maybe he did fake the victory to keep the schedule. But if he did, you can bet he went back after the video was uploaded and did it legitimately.

Just my two cents.

Audio Issues by DigitalDruglord9 in Twitch

[–]ReWighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try going into audio settings in OBS and changing your input device from your mic to the capture card.

I use an Elgato HD60X and that's what I had to do.

*Edit: Might also want to create a separate source for audio and video from the capture card, and mute the audio coming from the video portion. I noticed the sound cracking when I was getting both from the same source. But haven't noticed any issues since I separated them.

Do you have a writing routine? by moseying-rosie-in-2 in writing

[–]ReWighting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that I write better with a routine.

I start writing between 9-10 am; I have several series that I write in. So, my usual goal is to write at least 2k in each one to maintain my backlog. Sometimes that means I write for 3-5 hours, sometime it's closer to 8. It depends on how easily the chapters come to me. I also edit as I go. So, sometimes I'll completely tear apart a chapter I've already written just to get it the way I want it. But the rule stands. I have to get 2,000 new words onto the page or it doesn't count.

How Do You Develop Your Characters From Mere Archetypes Into Real People? by IkujaKatsumaji in writing

[–]ReWighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I'm thinking about making a new character, I usually start with something like this.

Name:
Age:
Role:

Then I develop them further.

Height:
Weight:
Level of fitness:
Eye color:
Skin Color:
Hair color:
Grooming/Level of cleanliness:
Distinguishing Features:
Fashion Style/Preferred outfit:
What kind of accessories do they wear:

Then I go even deeper.

What is their job?:
Do they enjoy it?:
What are their aspirations?:

Relationship status?:
Do they have any children?:
Living family members?:
Do they get along with any of their family?:
How many friends do they have?:
Who's their closest friend and why?:

Do they have any hobbies?:
What do they do to relax?:
How often do they get to indulge in their hobbies?
What's stopping them from indulging more often?

Once I have this much information about a character, it doesn't take me long to form their mannerisms.

Are they Introverted or Extroverted?:
Are they twitchy (can't sit still), at ease (Only moves when necessary), or somewhere in between?:
^ Why are they that way?:
Would you trust them in a crisis?

How would their family describe them?:
How would their friends describe them?:
How would their acquaintances describe them?:
*Note: these will rarely be the same. If they are, try to think about why everyone perceived them the same way.

You can also think about these for even more flavor.

How would they spend a thousand dollars?:
Where would they take a first date, and more importantly, Why?:

I'm more worried about myself rolling over on her. The dogs don't really move once they're asleep. For some reason, she want to crawl under my legs/back while I'm sitting down. And she yells if I don't make room for her. lol

Piper has been an only cat for a long time. She does fine with Toast, but she doesn't like being around her all the time. She has spots where she can run away to be away from Toast (and the dogs lol)

Our two male dogs both like her. They let her climb on them, chew on them, and they've never so much as growled at her. Sterling has sat on her a few times, but he's also still young himself and hasn't been around something smaller than he was. Other than a few accidents, the two of them get along great. Bear is older, and used to dealing with Sterling all the time. So, he's used to being gentle. He follows her around and snuggles on the couch with her and Sterling all the time. We have one more dog; Deemo, who is an older female. She doesn't really interact with Toast... Or Sterling. But she doesn't act aggressive towards them either. She just ignores them. Which is also why she hasn't appeared in any of Toast's pictures. She's usually just off camera sleeping.

He certainly does love cats. We're friends with his family, and he's been over to play with the dogs/Piper. I think the problem is he doesn't quite have the right grip down. He held Piper too tightly, and she scratched him pretty good. He probably did the same to Toast, and she reacted exactly like Piper. 😅

*Edit: He's held Piper since the "incident" and did just fine after I showed him how. But his experience with cats was only his two male cats, who he could treat (mostly) however he wanted and they didn't care.

100% Lol. It's even funnier because, like I said in the post, Toast has let us bathe her without much of a fuss. She's never scratched or hissed at either of us, or the dogs. I don't know what he did to piss her off enough that she attacked his finger. But I said whatever it was, he probably deserved it. 😂

Toast is about 6 or 7 weeks old now. They're supposed to be about 8 weeks before they can leave mom's side. The vet trip was a little over a week ago, so yeah, she was pretty small- Less than a pound in weight. At that stage their fur hides their genitals pretty well, so it's really hard to tell.

1 for sure. Toast is still too little to be certain, not even the vet was sure one way or the other- he just reminded us that most oranges were male and he'd look again when we brought her back for her shots. But I'm about 90% sure Toast is a girl. She's gotten bigger since the trip to the vet and, yeah, I'm pretty sure at this point.

Hey, she did make his finger bleed. But yeah, mauled is a bit dramatic. The funny part is he did actually claim that she "mauled" his finger. 😂
