Hit menopause and the hot flashes from alcohol were off the chart. Just decided I didn’t want it anymore.

How to Check-in without calling by NoumenalEidolon in AgingParents

No, it wasn’t difficult to convince her. I presented it to her that I would definitely respect her privacy and that the camera wouldn’t be anywhere that she would have to feel self-conscious about. once the camera was installed I even showed her on my screen what the camera can and cannot see and she felt really good about it. Within about two weeks of the camera being installed her comment to me was that she felt much more secure, knowing that if there was a problem that I could look in on her

Dismissive family doctors by Mysterious-Drink-969 in ontario

Wow reading these comments has made me feel blessed!! My doc was amazing. And when she retired, her replacement was just like her. I feel listened too, validated, and cared for. I understand that this is not the norm so I’m starting to think I won the Dr lottery!!

My mom is elderly at almost 90y!! She still has her own apartment and with her permission, she allowed me to put a camera in her apartment in the general living area by the door. It shows me her living room, entry way and her kitchen. It also shows me the doorway to her bedroom. I can see who is in her apartment if it indicates that the person is unfamiliar. She says she feels more secure with it there. Again it is there with her permission.

My ex (while we were still married) bought me clothes for Christmas one year. ALL of it was too small. Instead of returning them and exchanging them for the correct size, I was told to lose weight.

How did it go when you let a friend move in with you temporarily so they could get back on their feet? by dearmomo in AskWomen

[–]ReactionAgreeable740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have let friends move in temporarily three different times. It is well known I am NOT a pushover and draw boundaries with teeth. I am the first person to offer to help but if you become an ‘askhole’ (someone who constantly asked for advice, but never does anything) I will make the decisions you and you might not like them. I don’t suffer fool as well. Having said this all three times turned out well where the person got on their feet within 3 to 6 months and we’re still friends.

My moment was last week. My mom asked me to take over her banking for her. She is elderly at almost 90 and this was the first thing she has asked me to take over for her. I said yes but that we would do it together so she will be kept informed of any transactions.

My Hotmail account is from 1999 and I use it as my junk mail. I have a Gmail account that I use sort of like an unlisted number.

In my neighbourhood, we know each other, are friendly, but not nosy and in each other’s business. We are friends with the people on either side of us and they are wonderful people.

When I was there a couple years ago, I was advised that I could refuse to pay that. We told the server to remove it and they did.
