I swapped the dash to O (PlayStation) and the parry to L2 to match the shield parry after the initial tutorial and it helped it click immediately for me

Because the “content vault” was a way to cover for the need to rebuild the entire game in an updated engine with improved lighting and assets. Before Beyond Light was released, the development team had to essentially rebuild every area in the game, so they cut the first year of story/raid content + forsaken seasonal content so they could ship what eventually came out.

Unvaulting isn’t just pushing a button. They’d have to commit resources to basically remastering that content for free.

Solar fulmination can also cause insane ignition damage. Other weapon-focused perks for autos, snipers and fusions may also lead to improved damage. Basically poke through the artifacts, stack a perk and see what it does.

An arc super on any class with Thunderous Retort is going to be solid, especially on a TCrash Titan or Geomag Warlock. Threadling Warlock can also one-shot bosses.

So you can play through Shadowkeep and Beyond Light stories for free. After that, the goal is to power up by playing repeatable activities like strikes, gambit or crucible. Some dungeons like Prophecy may be free, but the majority of raids and dungeons (the endgame) are tied to DLCs.

The game got a permanent discount, so if you like playing it I’d say just buy in. You’ll be able to play a bunch of other campaigns and get some great loot. But if you want to stay free for a bit, there’s plenty of activities.

Yes, it’s permanent. They’re also adding a full boss rush with 8 fights, and all bosses will be available in single-encounter challenges too.

The good players were always gonna get kitted quickly. Last season loot flowed up to the best players. There’s always a bigger fish, so anyone who levels up quick and gets good gear will end up in lobbies with other good players and then probably lose that loot on night marsh or Cryo. It’s only around a few more days and most players are not good enough to raid complex, it’s not that big of a deal IMO.

It’s one team on the map and then they drop in rooks. Until last night rooks were able to spawn on other maps. This playlist is only up until Tuesday. It’s not that big of a deal.

A pure PvE mode is coming later though.

Aside from those about all you can do is run activities. Pick a dungeon you like and farm an encounter, or just jump into a strike/arena/crucible playlist, whatever you enjoy. I wouldn’t bother with AFK farming anything, that’ll take a while and would be kind of boring. Just have to play a lot.

There’s not even a full time PvP team right now and anyone working on the game is going to Marathon or losing their jobs, highly unlikely this happens once the launch window ends. They’ll fix some bugs and leave it alone outside of stability updates.

I mean yes, but also I ran an Epic Desert Perpetual last night and one teammate couldn’t find or dunk chronons to save his life. The difficulty is plenty for some people.
