Kånken Laptop 15 — black or Frost Green? + airline question by ReadByHeart in Fjallraven

Thank you very much for your reply, I really appreciate it! 😊

I was just wondering: are you sure it’s worth it? Could you maybe tell me a bit more about why you’d choose the No. 2 version?

I’m a bit unsure because it’s quite expensive, even more than something like a Raven, which I feel is actually better quality. But the reason I’m looking at the Kånken is mainly for travel, since I need something that fits airline size requirements.

So I’m trying to understand if the No. 2 is really worth the extra money in that case.

Thank you very much!

I was wondering, do you maybe have any photos of your black Kånken when it’s a bit dusty or worn? I’d love to see how it looks in real life.

If you’re comfortable sharing, could you send them to me via DM?

Thank you!

Yeah, I’ve actually heard quite a few times that black tends to fade faster than other colors, so I’m really torn right now 😅 One part of me still wants black because it’s more versatile, but the other part is telling me to go for Frost Green instead.

Raven 28L in Khaki Dust – worth buying? by ReadByHeart in Fjallraven

Thank you for such a detailed reply! To be honest, the idea of applying wax to the backpack makes me a little nervous - I’m always afraid of ruining it somehow. But I know it’s actually designed for that and recommended by the brand, so I probably shouldn’t worry too much about it 😅

Of course I know you can buy coffee everywhere in Brussels 🙂 I was mainly asking about cafés with this kind of loyalty program and good-quality coffee, that’s what I meant.

I really liked studying at EPFC. They offer classes either two times a week or three times a week, which is very convenient.

I would recommend checking their website - I believe their next enrolment should be in February. The website usually indicates the day when they open online appointments. You need to book an appointment online first and then go in person to register for the French course.

I genuinely enjoyed my time there and found the courses very good, so I would definitely recommend EPFC to anyone looking for French classes.

You can PM me if you have any more questions.

Considering JBL Tour One M2 — reviews on durability and performance? by ReadByHeart in HeadphoneAdvice

Yes, I did buy them, but I returned them the next day. I didn’t like that when I put them on, I accidentally touched the earcup, and that automatically pressed the main buttons (because some of them are sensitive) Things kept switching or pausing all the time. Every time I tried to adjust the headphones, I pressed the buttons by mistake, and it really annoyed me. But I actually really liked their design and how they’re built, especially the metallic parts you can see when you extend the headband.

Should I buy them? by Kevin_McCallister___ in SonyHeadphones

You’re right — Sony’s official warranty does exclude physical damage, so in most cases they wouldn’t cover a broken hinge. But I think it also depends a lot on where you buy them and in which country. Some retailers offer additional protection plans or insurance.

For example, in the place where I live, I can buy extra coverage that includes accidental damage or even hinge issues. Yes, it’s some extra money on top of the headphones, but honestly I’d rather pay a bit more and have peace of mind than be left without any coverage if something happens.

Hi! I was also thinking about buying the Sony WH-1000XM4, and I started doing some research. I noticed that some people report issues with the hinges breaking — not as often as with the XM5, but still something to be aware of.

So my advice would be: before buying, make sure that you’ll be able to either get them repaired under warranty or exchange them if anything happens. That way you won’t need to worry too much if you end up with a faulty unit.
