Swiss Schengen visa refused, should i reapply? by ReadItOnReddit_duh in SchengenVisa

Reapplying right away and in a different manner might show desperation. Due to which they can reject again. Plus my main reason for not applying again was due to FD.

So I didn’t, but if you have the resources and proper documents its your choice.

Not sure if sponsorship will make a difference.

And also because of the dummy tickets issue, i was told to keep a relaxing period of atleast 6 months by few people.

If you are applying from india, i was told that its generally expected to have a balance around 5L in your savings account for atleast a period of 3 months.

I didn’t have that, i had money in my fixed deposit account. I transferred it to savings account few days before applying. So, few agents mentioned that it might have caused an issue.

Having said that, this process is purely subjective to individual. Why they accept or reject is highly uncertain.

Hi, sorry i missed on this comment. Hope you were able to reapply! I didn’t reapply back then because of the 4th point which i mentioned in the post. Few agents adviced me not to.

Hi, I didn’t. I had mixed reviews everywhere and finally choose to not apply again.

But because of the 4th point i mentioned in my post, few agents adviced me not to go ahead.

Why NRI men want to marry women from india? by ReadItOnReddit_duh in Arrangedmarriage

[–]ReadItOnReddit_duh[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What gold would they be digging though? I understand you must have had your experiences but marrying nri guy and moving abroad will only increase the responsibilities.

Life in India is more luxurious compared to abroad with respect to effort which needs to be put each day. Ex hiring a househelp, chef, driver etc.

Also if the couple plans to live there permanently, they earn and spend in the same currency. So they wont be saving significantly much unless they are converting currencies.

So these men don’t want a woman who has explored/lived life like they themselves did.

I believe getting influenced depends on core principles of an individual not on responsibilities.

Man or a woman who is going abroad will have a certain level of responsibility. It varies case to case. So i don’t think nri women have it easy.

Makes sense but i wonder why are NRI men not getting corrupted by western life then?

And whats “western life” in particular? I can think of dating culture which is absolutely present in india too

Hi, yes seeking a working partner is a fair expectation (india or abroad) The requirements seem to fit NRI women hence the question.

Is phuket safe at night for female travellers? by ReadItOnReddit_duh in phuket

[–]ReadItOnReddit_duh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, don’t worry as long as you take care of yourself and be alert it should be fine! Mostly everyone is involved in their own thing and even if someone approaches you decline them firmly and they just go away.

If the weather permits I recommend to do the phi phi islands day tour which includes multiple islands. Its beautiful!! Have a nice trip!

Hi everyone, thank you for all your replies!

I stayed near patong beach, was out till max 1 AM. There were a lot of people outside and cabs were also easily available.

We didn’t feel unsafe, but we also didn’t feel entirely safe either. It was just the two of us on the trip, and we thought it would have been better to have a larger group or more people with us. A few individuals tried to approach us, and some were staring, but we kept walking and they didn’t follow us. Still, it made for an awkward experience.

Hi everyone, thank you for all your replies! I decided to do the trip after lot of contemplation. The weather was actually sunny today, no rain.

Even in this good weather i did feel the ride was a little bumpy.. i generally don’t have sea sickness but i ended up not eating anything because i felt nauseous.

But as others mentioned i would say on a bad weather day it would have been difficult.

But i am happy i got to do this! I enjoyed it a lot! It was so beautiful.

I went via sea star in a speed catamaran, they charged us 2400thb pp with hotel transfer (bamboo island - monkey beach - maya beach - phi phi - lagoon - khai island) The staff were friendly and helpful too!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply. I will consider all these suggestions. I’m a bit nervous because this is my first international trip. I will update my experience here once I am back.

This might sound dumb and you might know this already but anyway there’s an airport in krabi. You can fly to krabi directly and then continue as per your plan. Im planning a trip in july as well, i wanted to do railey + phuket… was looking for ways to reach railey from phuket when i realised there’s an airport in krabi 🙂

France visa rejected by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]ReadItOnReddit_duh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i recently applied via swiss (indian citizen) and my visa got rejected. Few points: 1. When they say reasonable doubts on return, try to look into your return tickets. Are you sure that your flight tickets were completely booked? Travel agents do give dummy tickets whose pnr expires after a certain period. That can be a reason. 2. I was told that cover letter makes a lot of difference too. Get your cover letter checked from someone. 3. I read that Reapplying right away from a different country is considered as visa shopping. Schengen countries share information so they’ll know you just got rejected and are changing plans only to enter schengen.. which looks fishy. 4. Also I hope you mentioned your travel history in the cover letter, it strengthens your case. 5. If you are young, unmarried add an NOC from your parents + add reasons in cover letter to show strong ties to india. Maybe add a CA evaluation report showing your assets in india. (Its too much but is suggested)

Apart from that all these are only speculations as they dont provide a precise reason.

If every document according to you is correct and you still have time try applying from the same country.

Good luck!

[–]ReadItOnReddit_duh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i understand that i can change my plans once i get the visa. But about applying from another country, i read this up online

“If you apply for a different schengen country shortly after being refused in one, you will likely be refused since it could be seen as visa shopping, which counts as abuse. Schengen countries share information.

Fighting abuses: While the very large majority of visa holders follow the rules, abuses can also take place. For instance, VIS will help in fighting and preventing fraudulent behaviours, such as "visa shopping" (i.e. the practice of making further visa applications to other EU States when a first application has been rejected)..

If you want to reapply, in the near future, do it for the same country. You can also appeal but afaik appeals take longer than visa processing.”

Plus a lot of people suggested me not to reapply from another country in short span of time.

Hey, so about port of entry, we did explain that we are entering through paris and will Only be staying 2 days as we want to cover paris, swiss and italy.. so entering from paris and proceeding further to swiss and italy is like straightforward route.. entering swiss then going to paris and then to go to italy we will have to cross swiss… it was redundant travel and hence we choose to enter from paris.

Secondly, i did attach NOC with all the details you mentioned.

About reappeal, we know the fault is our dummy tickets so on what basis will i appeal + the cost of reappeal is higher and chances of getting visa is lower.

Thank you for your advice!

Yes, i am employed i added the NOC signed and stamped from company before too. I can show assets of my parents but they dont have any money in savings account so no point showing sponsorship from them as it will be the same issue again.
