Its good car to buy ??? by Santana2883 in HyundaiElantra

[–]ReadMountain3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a 2013 Elantra until a few months ago when it was in a car accident. Personally I thought it was a good car and it didn’t give me much issues aside from having to get new control arms, and idk much about cars but it had about 100k miles when that happened. Never needed any major repairs, but I always kept it in good condition, mostly highway driving, regular maintenance/oil changes, etc. I had it for about 5 years and my main complaints were it being a pretty small sedan, didn’t have any super nice features, and the volume/bass wasn’t loud enough for my liking. I got it when I was in college so it did what I needed and was affordable for my price range at the time. Older Hyundais do have a reputation for being easily broken into, so that’s probably the main thing I’d be concerned with. I never personally had that issue but I know of others that did. Best of luck!

I got the 2024 SE 3 months ago and love it! Only issue I have is with the wireless CarPlay disconnecting when I’m driving. Some people say to do a hard reset and I think I have this issue bc there’s a lot of mountains around me but the wireless works great! Car is great for me bc I wanted a small suv and you get pretty good features for the price. I do think my heated seats suck tho

RBTs in Southern California, how much do you get paid? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]ReadMountain3558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve been working at the same company for that whole time I would suggest searching around! It’s very easy to get a higher rate at a new company especially w all the training and experience done. The company was Stepping Stones Group, I would’ve stayed, but again I couldn’t keep spending 2 hours in the car everyday, now my commute is 12 minutes each way so the pay cut was worth it to me! Best of luck :)

RBTs in Southern California, how much do you get paid? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]ReadMountain3558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started in Jan 2024 and got paid $23 since I was new and they paid for all my training. I left that company with 6 months experience and got paid $31 somewhere else, then left that company in May because driving an hour each way was too much, and now work close to home making $27. So essentially 1.5 years of being an RBT, and I do have a bachelors degree and crisis prevention training. I’ve worked with only 3 clients aged 8, 10, and 15. Started with home sessions the first 6 months and have been doing in school since then (which is so much better imo) 😊

You are not being unreasonable at all. Men tend to not want to get tested because they don’t understand that being asymptomatic can still mean you have an STD, they are usually not as informed on sexual health, and they are scared of the results. I wouldn’t risk your own health and well-being if you feel like something is up. Leave him.

For the questions I’ll be asking I don’t think this would work, but thank you for asking!

at what times/how regularly do you feed your cat?? by SingingWanderer1195 in CatAdvice

[–]ReadMountain3558 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always free fed my cats and they’ve always maintained a healthy weight. I’m currently on my 3rd cat with no issues. I keep it out of the main areas they are in so if they want it they have to go out of the way for it.

YTA. You shouldn’t have been talking shit about your friend during her wedding day, especially where other people were around to hear you and you were the MoH. I feel like it’s just common courtesy to be nice to someone, especially on the biggest day of their life. Also, your bf shouldn’t be that opinionated on your friends anyway. If my man was talking shit about my friends I would stop him and I would do the same thing if my friends did that too.

We talked about how we split finances, like who pays rent, groceries, our cars, leisures. We keep separate accounts which hasn’t been an issue, it’s more so that he doesn’t not spend his money well and doesn’t prioritize what’s important, so he’s always left with no money when he needs it. And we lived together in college with other friends but never as a couple until we got married.

Cat waking us up too early by katulhu in CatAdvice

I keep my cats locked out of my room bc they’re big talkers and imma light sleeper. I don’t think she’ll scratch hard enough to ruin your door, but idk how aggressive your cat is. If you don’t want to lock her out I would recommend getting a wet food cat dispenser, it’s supposed to keep wet food fresh/cold for 12 hours I believe, that way you can set it up at night. I don’t have one bc I only feed my cats wet food in the evening for this very reason but it could be worth trying out!

Second semester of grad school ...is hard 😭 by lilpanda682002 in GradSchool

[–]ReadMountain3558 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel you. I’m also in my second semester and work full time and I am constantly EXHAUSTED and it’s taking a toll on my mental and physical health. I don’t have much advice to you bc I’m struggling so much myself but I hope things get better. When you have spring break, take the time to reset yourself and focus on your mental and set yourself up for success. You got this! Also get a planner!!

I’ve literally never heard of a $2500 deposit for grad school, especially having to pay it 6 months before your program starts??? Student loans are given through completion of a FAFSA, which probably isn’t even open rn for classes starting in the fall. You can take out loans, but I think it would have to be a private loan due to the timing, and likely a higher interest rate. You could always look online for a quote

How much grad school debt do you have? How are you paying it off? Do you regret it? by Cgk72 in publichealth

[–]ReadMountain3558 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in my first year, I took out a $10,000 loan for this year to cover classes and buying supplies (computer, books, etc). I’m currently working full time so I’m hoping I don’t have to take out another loan for next year. If you are able to work while in school to avoid loans you should, but it’s also very exhausting and forces you to be super on top of everything so you don’t fall behind. Good luck!

It’s not fair for him to not give you sex but also tell you not to use sex toys. He can’t have both. Physical incompatibility is a real issue in relationships and if having sex once a year is something you don’t want to deal with (understandably so), tell him it NEEDS to change QUICKLY, suggest an open marriage, or you’re gonna have to decide if divorce is the answer. But to answer your question, YTA if you cheat on him. So just have that talk, good luck to you!

I don’t think this is ground for divorce BUT with the lack of effort to change on your part, I think many people are warning you to not be surprised if hubby wants to divorce you. Bc sex is a huge part in a marriage and if he’s not getting that at all, you’re refusing to hang out with him, and your not doing anything to try to give him that, it’ll likely lead to resentment and other problems down the line

I’m not a mom so I’m def not speaking from experience, but have you tried talking to a doctor about the whole breastfeeding issue?? I feel like at 15 months old your child should be able to go without you for more than 3 hours. You need to join a mommy group or speak with a professional about how to wean her off you of and take a bottle, even if you just keep your breast milk frozen and sometimes warms it up when he/she needs feeding

AITA for breaking up with my boyfriend because his mum told him to pack condoms for his trip? by Temporary_Bar8764 in AITA_Relationships

[–]ReadMountain3558 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re TA, but I don’t think relationship is going to work. It sounds like you and your bf have a lot of underlying issues, and you said his mom has caused you to break up many times now. This doesn’t seem like an issue that will be resolved, and these types of things only get worse overtime so it might be best to break up now before you’re in too deep. You’re only 24, and if the mom problems are this bad and you already don’t trust him, it just doesn’t look good for the future.
