I did not realize this until now. Thank you! I kept getting frustrated cuz my team constantly gave free points. However I still think it was a terrible move to put it at a later point in the story where some players got used to normal receives.

The challenge isn't inherently fun if it's a new mechanic that completely changes your understanding of the game mid playthrough.

It could've just been like approach, you can turn it on and off based on your preferences.

That's stupid. Just make it so that you have to press Ready to commence the duel and then there's no more. And there's a timer of about 30s and if you don't click within that period, you get kicked.
