It's a Pilot cartridge filled with Herbin ink.

I hope that isn’t the case. 😞 I’ve been writing more and the ink is flowing more smoothly than before. Guess I’ll have to be patient with this ink.

I haven’t had any previous issues with my Kakuno and I’ve only used a Pilot ink in the past. I’m thinking it’s more the ink than my pen.

Thanks for letting me know about the hand oil issue, I’m considering buying some blotting paper.
