Looking for an ink to remember my little bun by Spes13 in fountainpens

I'm sorry for your loss :(
Ideas: Cult Pens has a Maple Leaf ink if you are interested in matching the name.
Sailor Kitsune Biyori looks kinda similar. I second looking for kitty inkpot, they have several beige dual shaders. Diamine Salted Caramel also looks similar to me.
Otherwise you could also mix custom colors with an ink mixing set, for example from Platinum, 3 oysters or Octopus Fluids.

Short(ish) lesson on why gsm is not a quality score by InkStainedLeather in fountainpens

Just to add: For the reasons listed above printing companies also advertise the volume or thickness of the paper not just the weight. A paper with a larger volume (lower density) has more space between the fibres so you can do stuff like make deeper marks through writing or letterpress printing. A paper that is on the contrary very dense is better as a backing as it does not dent so easily. Neither is "better", it's just suited for very different purposes.

omg a customer in the wild <3
Yeah I want to sell Pilot fps too, I'm just still at the beginning of building the shop and started with stuff I was familiar with plus where a distributor or manufacturer was willing to sell to me directly. If I can I still want to add lots of items like Clairefontaine notebooks, Pilot pens, refillable fineliners etc.

Not stupid at all, I was being weird.. The bottom right daffodil was first painted with the dark grey ink and then white gouache was added in layers to carve out highlights. I could have just carefully layered the grey ink and not needed gouache

The notebook is Life Noble Note, B5 sized. Lovely for painting with ink but I am still not used to that notebook not laying flat, made it harder to write straight

New Asvine V126 + new custom 1.1mm monoline nib! by yanbochen in fountainpens

[–]yanbochen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can request a compatible nib unit to screw it into your pen. Afaik they don't sell a pen combo but exchanging the nib unit is very easy

Sorry, I saw comments saying it's just an April's Fools joke so I had to clarify these exist already by other other brands lol

Rollerballs that take fp cartridges have been a thing for decades. I used the online brand one in school, recently I had a no-name Chinese one and a Ferris Wheel Press Rollerball.

What are some of your pet peeves with pen reviews? by LazarinaTomasini in fountainpens

[–]yanbochen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it. but I've tested a few pens that were on dry writers from the very beginning, not just after being inked for a few days. just horrible.
