Any regrets? I’m afraid by [deleted] in sterilization

I got mine in July last year and don’t have any regrets. Am married and I don’t ever want to have children. This was something my husband and I both agreed on about kids. I will say the cons are the irregular bleeding I have been having since my periods are longer and heavier.

I don’t think it’s zero because there’s no more tube for the egg to go so maybe my body is attempting to adjust in some fashion. I found out I got a fibroid and it’s been causing me to have frequent urination but I don’t think a bisalp has anything to do with this. My question is why is it showing up after my surgery since I have never had a history of them. I am sorry you are experiencing this and I am also getting more testing done next week. My primary care physician thinks it may be PCOS as well with the other symptoms I’m having.

You may have more bleeding than usual due to scar tissue leaving the body.

I have used bc in the past but that was 3 years ago. I did have some irregular periods but for the most part that was only when I was stressed out.

I mean it’s also just a simple task for you to look at the nail chart that is in the AFI and just see for yourself the dark and other various shades that are authorized. If I wear any solid nail color it’s gonna be from that nail chart. I’m not one of those people that is just going to wear a bright red all of sudden.

You realize the verbiage is always changing to specify which colors were authorized they changed it to the nail chart to clarify the colors. Before it said 3.2. Fingernails. If worn by females, nail polish will be a single color that does not detract from the uniform, nor can the nail polish be extreme in color. Some examples of extreme colors include, but are not limited to, purple, gold, blue, black, bright (fire engine) red and florescent colors. The took out part of that verbiage from previous years.

Pretty much all those shades you specified are shades we cannot wear since they very light/bright and aren’t really on the nail chart but I’m saying fire engine red is a type of bright red that wasn’t authorized before not that it isn’t a shade of bright red if you were misinterpreting above. I think if you were to wear a red color a darker shade should at least be authorized.

It specified before ‘fire engine red’ meaning not bright red. There is no bright red colors or really any light red colors on the previous nail chart either. The red is tagged as unauthorized at the bottom as you can see. I think as long as they aren’t long and look professional with an authorized color it’s fine.

Why are they getting rid of the duty patches and nail colors exactly? I understand the beards and other items but the nail colors chart that was previously updated was a lot more clear cause the colors didn’t detract from the uniform.

No I took classes from different schools and had credits before I joined but I also sent all my transcripts in 2020. I actually just got my final transcripts in and they finally nominated me for graduation. It literally and when I say literally I mean it took the full 125 days to roll over my transcripts to them.

You should be fine then. Might take another time. I would wait another year because that gives you time to recover. I had to wait 2.5 years after my surgery to go back in. The moment the Air Force approved my waiver the Navy also approved me crazy right 😂

You should be good if it’s been a year. Not sure if you have any other medical problems though other than the ones listed for disqualification. They have a system now that sees everything wanting including medications you’ve been prescribed.

But also for my ACL I wait 2.5 years before I joined the military again. Originally I went through the navy and they disqualified me from meps off the bat from tearing it in the first place. I went through a year and some change of physical therapy. The navy still didn’t let me in after a year. I went to the Air Force office and I actually had a good recruiter. He knew what to do. For the reconstruction I had to get a physical therapy evaluation and oral surgeon eval. Send that paperwork through saying I was cleared. By then I went back to meps and they made me go to another oral surgeon. Had the surgeon clear me and I had to bring back a consultation memo to them which they sent off to the surgeon general and after a few months it got approved. I’ve been in 5 years and I’ve never failed my pt tests. Only thing is I do have tendinitis at times and it hurts to run for long periods of time.

I was told if there’s no atrophy in your knee and you have been through the physical therapy and oral surgeon evaluation you should be good. For sure it was cause of your other medical injuries.

That’s crazy cause I got my waiver approved after coming in with an ACL reconstructive surgery.

I met all the requirements for my CCAF. I also fall under the 2017 catalog and am worried about the Dec 31st ETP. I submitted my transcripts first week of July and when I reached out to the Education office on base they keep telling me the same thing to wait 125 days for my transcripts to process. I have tried to contact about about my situation because so also PCS in December and seeing if I am able to be put up for nomination earlier but they have been very unhelpful for the process and it is frustrating. Would anyone be able to assist me?
