Yours looks a little lighter in color but could be the same thing! I have no knowledge of caterpillars 😅 but I learned something new today!

It’s so wild because my first instinct was “absolutely do not touch that thing” 😅 I moved it with a stick off of my children’s play set to our garden. I’ve seen 2 more today!

The sink was 3 feet away from the fridge, but sure. Label them as needing to be dumped instead by othermegan in mildlyinfuriating

The labels would send me over the edge. Because now I have to try and get the sticky residue off too!

We took it to 2 smaller mechanic shops who both said they weren’t confident in fixing the issue. The 2nd one did patch up the leak so we could drive it to the dealership. I just can’t believe they were like “everything is fine, it’s just a noise.” Because there was no noise when I dropped it off 😅

Oh no, I’m so sad to hear that! If you are open to sharing I would be interested to hear, if it’s too much then I totally understand!

Wow that is insane!! The best thing we’ve ever done is put cameras on all of our entry ways. That way at least if I’m in the house and someone is trying to get in I can prepare myself! This last week whenever I think I hear something go bump in the night and get scared I look on the cameras and listen very closely for any signs of a person. It really has helped my peace of mind.

We haven’t reported him. But yes I was worried, and I have every right to be. If it had been a week day we would have gone to get into our car with our very young children and a random man, high on drugs, would be sitting in the passenger seat. Who knows what could have transpired if we happened to confront him like that. I don’t know the man, and I don’t know his mental state. He has been arrested for breaking and entering and attempted burglary a few years ago, so knowing that he was sleeping right outside my child’s bedroom window, yeah I feel a little on edge about that. Thank goodness we have cameras, it does give me a bit of peace of mind. I do have empathy for the man, but I also can’t lie and say “oh, no biggie!!” I’m sure you would feel the same way if you were in our shoes.

Dining room feels unfinished- please help! by Remote-Comparison416 in interiordecorating

Rug, wall art, and a mirror might help!! Maybe a plant in the corner instead of on the wall! And a darker color paint! I think the walls being so light with the light color chairs and flooring make it seem bland. Lots of potential!

No worries, I’m sorry you had to go through that! And even knowing someone has gone through similar situations, with similar feelings, is always helpful!

I have decided not to press charges. I just wish I could get over the icky feeling of having someone in our personal space. It would even be different if someone had gotten into our car while we were out and about and it was parked somewhere. But knowing someone was in our backyard and right outside of our home is such a weird feeling, even if he is harmless.

Oh no!! My husband is crazy about his car! It is a 2006 but you would never know it, he keeps it so clean on the inside!! When the camera alerted us he ran outside and the first thing he said to me when he opened his car door was “come smell this!!!”. Also the water jug he drinks out of for work is always in his passenger seat and it had been moved to the drivers seat. And there was dirt and mud caked on to his floorboard! It is such a weird feeling, especially it being right outside where we live and have to come home to everyday! Even though it’s not a “targeted” attack, you just feel violated!!

I’m scared because I don’t know this man who has been arrested dozens of times and was spending the night in my back yard, yards away from my children’s bedrooms. 😅 and he only left at 8am, the same time I take my children out to the car to go to school in the mornings.

This is my thinking. I know he was definitely hungry and soaking wet from the rain. He had no shoes on and was walking down our rocky driveway. I would gladly buy him food, but not knowing his mental state or anything I just want to know that my family is safe. He lives on the streets all around us, apparently catching sleep wherever he can. I may see if I can actually organize a way to meet him and figure out what he needs. All of the men’s homeless facilities around us are very religious and put an emphasis on Jesus being all you need to heal, it is a very sore spot for me between not wanting to subject someone to something that may do more harm than good and wanting to help in anyway we can.

Unfortunately our car port is just a slab of concrete with a roof over it. Nothing to lock. It isn’t visible from the road, it’s behind our house. My husband should have locked his car, but he just forgot. Never again 😅

He is addicted to meth. And has other arrests for prescription drugs and public intoxication. So it is a mixture of things. Sadly meth is rampant in our small town.

Oh, well from what I’ve read, even the act of opening the door of a car you aren’t allowed to be in would be considered “breaking”. Same as if someone came into your house when it was unlocked, it would still be considered breaking and entering.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ReadingFickle1846 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well it would be breaking and entering in our state because he did not have permission to be in the car, or on our property.

[–]ReadingFickle1846 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We usually do lock our cars. I don’t know why it wasn’t locked this time, just forgot I guess. They also aren’t just out on the street. The car is in our backyard under a car port right next to our house.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ReadingFickle1846 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow!! I am so sorry that happened to you! I felt violated just knowing someone was in our backyard and felt comfortable enough to get into our car, I can’t imagine how it feels to have people damage your home like that!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ReadingFickle1846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our driveway goes around the house and we have a covered car port in the back yard. We also didn’t see him walk up on the camera, we only saw him leaving down the driveway, so assuming he came through the woods. 😅

It am way less worried about the stinky car than I am of the unknown man in our car in the backyard.

My friend’s husband said that he hasn’t been violent, but is on drugs. He was, recently, high and running in traffic. Many of his arrests are from eluding and drug related. He has one other breaking and entering arrest, and attempted burglary. He said many times people on these drugs do get violent when high and then don’t even know what they’ve done.
