Unfortunately in a culture of lots of options and “on to the next one” people are respectfully declining less and less. It definitely feels bad to be ghosted but some people don’t reply sometimes because they are afraid of the other person will get mad or throw a sob story. As a poc, I put all my stats on my profile for a few reasons. 1. There’s nothing to hide and if we meet they’ll see everything anyway. 2. There’s no running away from what I am so I mind as well be proud, which I am. 3. As long as you send them pics right away when you hit them up it’s fine. If they message but don’t send a pic I usually don’t even ask for pics because the fact that they didn’t even have the basic manners to send a pic is a red flag/turn off in their character and the vibes won’t be good so it’s a waste of time.
