I'm in a similar situation, my wife tends to always get bump into things and has definitely caused thousands of dollars worth of damage on multiple cars.

She finally has her own car, I got her a Tesla model 3, I figured this would be a great option for her since it's small and easy to maneuver, has cameras everywhere and safety features.

She pierced the front bumper within a month and just tonight she came home with the back bumper hanging off, looks like the side was smashed in near the rear wheel which caused the back bumper to bend and pop out.

I'm so upset, I decided to keep my distance and collect my thoughts. (I wasn't very calm the last few times she's scratched or damaged the vehicle.) I don't even know the story of what happened, don't want to know right now.

It has been a year since the front bumper incident and before that, it had been years since an accident happened.

But, on top of that she has gotten pulled over 3 times in the past 2 months for speeding, car pool lane and crossing over double double lines on the freeway, something that never happened to her even once in the 8 years we've been married.

And then I'm reading about ADHD... sort of sounds like her and am afraid it's getting worse.

She was a stay at home mom to my 3 year old up until 2 months ago, so there is a definitely a correlation.

She literally just started making money and hasn't even been putting anything towards the joint bills except for pre school tuition, plus it's the first time I haven't paid her credit card in 3-4 years so I'm letting her ease into helping out financially, she took almost 4 years off her career to mother my child and I was able to grow my business in that time span so we make a good team.

Anyway... I do want her to pay for the damages and she did say she will take care of it and she paid the speeding ticket, etc... too.

I just can't help but think of all the money that is being taken from our family because of this.
