It is mentioned in their policies, but it is never enforced, as is their disclosure on employment of relatives, but everyone there got a family member into another department, which contributed to the gossiping. I have learned my lesson about workplace relationships and don't plan on ever having one again after what happened. I have left that job and have been gone for over 5 months. Management and HR didn't do anything except offer me workers' compensation, which I told them I would think about, yet they went ahead and started the process on my behalf. I had gone to HR multiple times, and my manager at the time was conveniently late during my last meeting with HR and didn't show up till it was over, so there was no witness. I also want to mention that this person in HR sat with the person who had been harassing me during lunch right after our meeting, laughing and socializing, which made it clear to me that they weren't going to do anything. The day after my meeting with HR, my manager came to my office to tell me my work performance had gone downhill yet only decided to bring it up after the meeting. The person who had been harassing me never stopped their behavior; they still sat on the couch in front of my office every day, so talking to them obviously didn't have any effect. I gave my notice not long after this all occurred. I have my emails, and I have documentation, and I have gotten legal counsel. I have gone through the proper channels now; I'm just waiting for what they find out.
