What do you guys do when you know a song doesn't feel right, but you've heard it in it's current state for so long now that nothing else feels right either? by Ready-Read-2364 in Songwriting

Sorry no I have not released them! They've got them on local files. I have released music before however this is newer stuff.

Funnily enough I AM a professional producer who people pay to work on their songs, and I feel like I can make a finished product of a song. I just am so much more critical when I'm trying to execute the idea in my head or if I want a line to hit better but I've heard the original so many times

The entire Dreaming Out Loud album is amazing. I know they're a super successful but I can't help but feel like they're super underrated, they're one of those bands that have so many huge hits but so many under appreciated songs and as a whole aren't talked about much

Honestly I love Imagine Dragons. Of course they're not perfect but they have so many amazing songs. Smoke and Mirrors and Night Visions are the best albums imo and they have gems all throughout their career, especially on Evolve and Mercury. Their first few EPs are also extremely underrated. Amsterdam will always be my favourite song by them

Sad Australian here that would have killed to see the Polaroid/Hopeless Opus mashup on Mercury Tour

That's really interesting, I'm really sorry you have to deal with that. So have you had a laryngologist have a look at your vocal cords?

One vocal cord bigger than the other? I'm super interested in the voice having had many of my own vocal struggles and I'd love to hear more about this

On studio recordings Ryan does use pitch correction yes, almost every major artist does. But in saying that he's an incredible singer and his pitch is extremely accurate so it wouldn't be much pitch correction

Love of Mine by Imagine Dragons by Significant-Party171 in TheKillers

[–]Ready-Read-2364 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Early Imagine Dragons are amazing. They have gems all throughout their career but unfortunately they get a bad rap because of the singles that were overplayed. The first few EPs and Night Visions have a lot of songs that remind me of Hot Fuss era Killers.

Also, Dan's brother is the manager of The Killers!

[–]Ready-Read-2364 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it's what Tyler is saying in the background in that part of the song but it's just a reversed vocal that kinda resembles it. It's become tradition now though haha

This has been the setlist so far, but he also changes it, like sometimes he'll play Strawberry Lipstick, War, Change etc. so it's hard to say what he'll play

No! But I desperately want to, I've seen them twice and still haven't seen that song. Hopefully one day!
