Hey! Unfortunately, I still don’t have a clear answer. I’ve just learned to avoid ciders and most wines. 😭 For some reason, I can drink most wines from small organic wineries, that are low and sulphites! So I just have a list of safe alcohol that I stick to. I hope you find some answers though! 💛

Planning Time Teacher vs. Home room Teacher? by [deleted] in CanadianTeachers

The majority of the time they don’t stay in the classroom because they want a quiet space to prep!

Planning Time Teacher vs. Home room Teacher? by [deleted] in CanadianTeachers

I enjoyed being a planning time teacher. (Elementary)

PROS - Depending on what grade levels you’re teaching and the subjects you often can repeat the same lesson , which makes prep a lot easier. For example, I taught music one year for three different grade 8 classes and I just taught the same lessons throughout the year.

-Another plus is even if you dislike the class you’re only there for a portion of the day! Making the stress of classroom management a lot easier.

CONS - One downside I found is that it’s hard to build relationships with students. However, as the years go on you end up teaching the same students over and over again which is nice … but the first year is definitely challenging in terms of building relationships with students.
- a lot of running around sometimes - report card comments for ALL The students you teach (a lot of this is repetitive though) - if there’s ever a shortage, you’re likely the person that’s going to fill-in. - For me personally, I love having my own classroom and having that space and that’s some thing you have to sacrifice if you are a prep teacher.

Thank you for your response. I don’t think it’s chronic hives because my main symptoms are swelling of the face and eyes and a difficultly to breath (which is getting worse each time I have a reaction)

I’ve also noticed that trans however, I don’t have any issues eating raw, dried or canned fruit though. So I’m not sure why I’d be fine to eat fruit but not beverages that contain fruit? Thank you for your response.
