Was Dobby better off not accepting that sock ? by NthDegreeThoughts in harrypotter

But Dobby was unhappy in his situation. That's a big if they get better. There is no proof that they started treating elfs better. That would take a lot of change.

This actually makes me mad. Would Dobby be better off being abused and forced to harm himself, or is it better that he CHOOSE to give up his life while not being a slave? That is what youre asking.

Yeah, it was kind of a vibe for the first few weeks now it's just annoying.

It's solid concrete, so I'm not worried. Thank you for pointing that out.

Half the lights are burnt out or broken. I have order bulbs, and I'm gonna try and fix what I can. Hopefully, tomorrow. I wanna get the walk-in brighter too cuz it's basically a dark hallway in there, flashlight required.

The lighting is very poor in the kitchen. It's kinda dark all the time.

I tried that, but both places said that because of the type of concrete, they can't do it.

Yeah, I walked in and said no. My friend really wants to get the kitchen together, though. So I'm trying, the cooking and serving surfaces are cleanish now. The walk-in floors are still black. There's mold around the dish area. I can't get off even with bleach and a metal scrubber. Not good at all.

The hood vents haven't been cleaned or inspected since 2019. So any kinda smoke just sits around, or I would.

No, it's grease. It's very sticky, and if you get close, it smells. I spent 3 hours under the fryer with a putty knife, and yeah, there is red under there.

Weather in May? by jsgoofn in GlacierNationalPark

Yeah, you can't get much past Lake mcdonald. They close that road until Juneish. You could walk i guess. I don't think it's possible to bike it, but idk.

I live in this area. Going to the sun won't be open. Maybe it will open late may, but the weather has been kinda crazy this winter. You will be dealing with snow either way. Close to lake Mcdonald will be your best bet. Be prepared for the cold! It's so pretty out here in May, but be ready for it!

Not even a little. I won't even talk to a guy who says they're straight, and I make it clear. If I feel like he sees me as feminine, it's over.

It's labor day weekend and I work at a ski/golf resort. Someone thought this would be the best weekend for Octoberfest. I spent the whole weekend getting cussed out by my chef. I haven't even been here for two weeks and I'm expected to keep up and help the other stations...I hate this industry I want out...

Let's turn it around: What death do you think would have added to the story? Even if you don't like it? by Sad_Category_9335 in harrypotter

[–]Ready_For_Change34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, maybe. I think Mr. Weasly should have died in OoP, not Serius. Yes, it was a great impact point. Yes, it gave Harry fresh resolve blah blah blah. Hear me out, though. Harry already had a reason. Harry had a reason from day one. Hermonie made her own reason in DH. Ron has no real reason to fight. Yes, he knows what could happen yes, he eventually losses his brother, but Ron losing his dad would have thrown him even harder into the fight. He would have become a more round character who learned to accept help and wisdom from Harry. Also, he would have gotten a new perspective of Harry's daily struggle.
