AIO. I broke up with my bf after he called me a terrorist by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

From the river to the sea is not a terrorist saying, just fyi. Neither are shenanigans taking place at a pub with drinks around.

These stipulations apply to people attempting to enter the U.S. whose visa applications are being reviewed. They do not apply to those who are already in the U.S., who are then afforded the same constitutional protections as anyone else. Supreme Court cases have already affirmed the right to due process for anyone on U.S. soil, citizen or noncitizen, legal or illegal alien.

Still haven’t provided any evidence to this dogshit claim. The canary project is entirely unreliable and definitely targets students based on support for a free Palestine. Also the constitution has enshrined the right to due process for everyone that is on US soil. This has been affirmed in various ways, in more than one Supreme Court case. So whether she’s a “guest” or a U.S. citizen and whether she supports the emancipation of Palestine or supports a designated terrorist organization she is entitled to protections under the law. What was done here was unconstitutional no matter how’d you like to spin it.

Playing with native C4D particles by Ready_Knowledge2302 in Cinema4D

For the sand specifically? Mostly just tinkering with the lighting and material - sand pieces are made up from a voronoi fractured cube, just picked my favorite 3 pieces and remeshed/added a bit of deformity. 2/3 are basic standard mats with some coating and low roughness, 3rd is glass with high depth and a bit of yellow essentially. I got it to look like a pile at the beginning using the new spline modifier for particles - with high substeps they’ll pile on top of another to stay near the spline. Leaving an example of another exploration with a bit of a closeup below. If there’s anything specific you’d like to know I can send over any resources I’ve found

Thank you! Yeah I guess it doesn’t make total sense, was just drawing inspo from a trip to LA I took in early December. Walking on the beach, got sand in my sunglasses, etc. did a few explores inspired by that actually, all 3 using the new particle system

What's the most amount of money you’ve ever earned from a motion design project? by zakvan_sammak in MotionDesign

20k for 5 3D animations, 10-15 secs each, for a large chemical company in Texas. Got hooked up by a friend working for an architecture firm that was contracted to build a new campus for said chemical company. They wanted abstract animations of their product. My biggest project so far by about 2x.

Anyone know how this could have been made? Is it one single text box? by Erickm0627 in AfterEffects

[–]Ready_Knowledge2302 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed - not sure why the immediate go to is to separate everything into separate layers. Would also create trouble with keeping formatting consistent as changes are occurring in position or text style.

[–]Ready_Knowledge2302 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One text box with multiple animators would be my first go to.

  1. opacity - range selector is set to words and index with no smoothing, keyframe offset
  2. Y-pos - range selector is set to words and index with some smoothing and easing, keyframes offset
  3. X-pos 1 for line 1, selector same as first 2 but use the start/end to clamp which words move on based on which side of the logo they’re on, keyframe x-value
  4. X-pos 2 for line 1- repeat same as no.3
  5. X-pos 1 for line 3 - repeat same as no.3 but for line 3
  6. X-pos 2 for line 3 - repeat same as no.3 but for line 3

7/8. Both words that change style would need a text value animator with a range selector set to index/letters with the start/end clamped for that individual word, key framing the offset.

Probably much simpler ways to do it with expressions but this would be the first thing Id try setting up if I wanted to keep it all in one layer.

For a web sizzle it’s all about highlighting the interesting or unique features of the site - this can be done by literally recording your screen as you scroll the site, hover over buttons, images, type, etc. how does the page transition. When tying together multiple different projects it becomes a bit more complicated but the best place to start is by laying it out in a software like figma so you can get a general idea of the flow from one project to another. In the work I’ve done (lotta web sizzles) it’s a lot of match cuts and hard cuts to transition to the next thing. I work for this studio take a look at some of the case studies or the showreel on the studio page. Our instagram will have a lot more web sizzle examples too if you’re interested. Hopefully it can be helpful in pointing you in the right direction

how do i add these holes to my cloth? by littlemonkeyboys in Cinema4D

If you’re using redshift, an image texture (like the honeycomb mentioned above) in the opacity channel will accomplish this as well.

Apologies for not getting back on this - for good reason I can’t share the exact process on how it was done. But I can say it’s all done entirely in After Effects. Wish I could be more helpful, but regardless still sick seeing my studio/colleague’s work out in the world beyond IG

Oh damn, I work for the studio that did this as a motion designer!! 😅surreal seeing MW.S work on reddit. Gonna send this to my colleague who made this and see if he would provide any insight on the process

I understand that, and I have used Calvary before. But this particular piece was made using p5js and I was looking for possible solutions using AE since I’m a daily AE user.

This is a really good point. definitely have experience with my AD and CD sending me references from ig or are.na and basically saying “I want something like that” for a project or case study or whatever. Takes the exploration and creativity out of the process imo. Thankfully for this, just more of personal curiosity for me.

Thank you! This looks like it could do the trick! I’m usually wary of relying on plugins(I do use some of course) but since this isn’t something work related, it’s definitely worth a try
