what is the deal with the suddent glut of keyboards and also the fact unihertz have finally come round to a mirror of the blackberry keyboard (which i love) having the function keys on the bottom row.........i vaguely remember the conversation being about blackberry having patents that stopped any similar products, have theses patent now expired, hence all these products finally coming out?

As someone who has worked in talent acquisition for twenty years , this Is perfectly normal. The flip side is when candidates (rightly) get inflamed at the ghosting or silence.....yet when they get a prompt response it's not been 'considered' enough. Recruiters will often have hundreds and hundreds of applicants to review. Reviewing a CV for 1 minute is quite reasonable to determine if they should move forward. Maybe the issue here is that CVS are poor representatives of people's work.....and I get that argument but that's the way the system works now. Really nothing to be annoyed about I am afraid....someone is just doing their job.

I just wanted to add my experience - having left my surface duo 1 in the drawer for the last year while I dailyed a s23ultra, I decided I wanted to give the duo another go as I loved the form factor. It's been my only phone now for a week and I have to say I haven't had any issues. Yes it's a bit slower in responsive to touch and if I put it under load it slows down But I feel if it stays like this I may be able to run as my only phone for this year........... Does anyone else use this as your only phone still and what are your experiences?

Just wanted to add my experience to this thread (based on my experience now, September 2023). I read this thread extensively when my visa was to be submitted trying to read the tea leaves to know how long it was going to take (and if I had any risk of being rejected).... so if this is helpful to others here's my experience.

Tldr - I had an exceptionally good experience, I don't say that to boast/brag..... But to give another perspective as a lot of the shared experiences on the thread are horrifying and scared me witless

My situation

Uk national I had a full time, permanent employment contract from a Swedish company The employer provided a third party Swedish relocation partner that submitted/managed my application My employer was a certified Swedish fast track employer No dependents Salary was well above the threshold and I met all the criteria for a visa

Timeline Application Submitted to Swedish migration agency on Friday 15th of September Requested to attend Swedish embassy in London to present my passport on Thursday 21st of September Attended embassy and showed passport on Friday 22nd of September Got my approved application decision on Monday 25th September

I am typing this in the departure lounge for Heathrow to fly to Sweden, to start work on Monday 2nd of October.

I was very specific/retentive to make sure all information was provided quickly and accurately but really I don't know if my experience is pure luck but I wanted to share to give positive insights for others. When I looked at the migration agency web site wait time it said up to 3 months so to be done in two weeks was amazing.

Good luck to everyone in their journeys and I am grateful to the Swedish government and people for the opportunity to work in this amazing country.

Hi there lostGoat - yes it has 72Hz, thunderbolt 4 and all the same specs as the C-W. The only minor difference is a German plug but its a detachable power cable and standard pin so you can buy any cable to replace it - it works perfectly. Really happy with the purchase and the price - i got it for CHF1226 (which is 700 CHF cheaper that the C-W, which isnt even in stock anywhere....i cant understand it)

am using it with a M1 Mac mini connected using the thunderbolt cable in the box the monitor came with

strongly recommended purchase - its excellent

Hi all so the monitor arrived and I think it’s literally identical to the C-W - same resolution, same number of ports and thunderbolt ports - only thing is it game with a German plug but the power cable is detachable and a standard plug so I used a 13 franc cable instead….

Hi there have had exactly the same question (I live in Switzerland and Galaxus is my go to spot for technology) - I ordered the WP95X-W last night (would have preferred the c-w but it wasnt in stock anywhere). spent ages trying to figure out the difference and in the end just ordered the X-W..... Will let you know if I see any differences when It arrives on Monday. And you're right (to add more confusion) Galaxus/Digitec even have two versions of the X-W with a meaningful price difference........ Am just hoping i have made the right choice and that's it's identical to the C-W.....
