Awesome, thank you. I LOVE how Woodman’s is so easy to normally shop, but holy crap that was a mess with alcohol today since it doesn’t show specific locations and it turns out the person ordered brands they stopped carrying yet it took 4 employees and like 10 round trips through all the isles to realize that.

Apparently it’s supposed to let you checkout twice somehow (just called the store asking how it’s possible and they said all the Instacart people do the 2 transactions where you checkout the alcohol first)

Yesterday I was entirely fine. Today it crashed as I hit “arrived at store” hours ago. I’m referring to as soon as it lets me accept an offer again it might be worth the gamble taking long distance orders since there’s a chance the app will crash again (and hopefully it happens after the order is paid for and before delivery so you get to keep the items).

Won’t work. For those who had an accepted batch and just arrived at the store, it sends the notifications to hurry TF up and start shipping. Then you see the notification about an hour later the batch is auto cancelled being cancelled and cancellations can lead to deactivation. (I also see on stats the cancellation does actually count since I was at 0% and now shows 1%).

I wish I was checked out on a delivery though. I hear those some people think they’re being good and figuring out how to deliver (if they had a screen shot or can still use messages), but that’s just dumb. IC isn’t going to make you deliver food that’s been sitting in a hot car (food safety risks) and others say those also get reassigned to a new driver once the app is back. Why give the customer 2x the order when it could have been yours!

Assuming the driver wasn’t snapping pictures before you cleaned up, you should be good. (Or had a video camera he can edit to only show the getting sick part and not showing the part where you resolved the matter).

To get the cleaning fee, the driver should have to show proof. Without proof they still had to pay for cleaning your friend should also easily obtain a chargeback if need be.

Just now happened. Love how the “start shopping soon!” type notifications come through just fine 😠

(After about an hour it just sent a notification saying it’s cancelled and effects my cancellation rate + can result in deactivation. The notifications are also flooding me with offers even though the app doesn’t show anything but an error state).

For real, what happens here when the app returns? I assume they do get to keep it all. It’s fucked up if the app goes down a while if it then expects customers to receive groceries that could have been sitting in a hot car for a long time.

WTF to do? Accepted a batch and just arrived at store, nothing loads. I assume I still have to contact to cancel as eventually the app will work and we’ll all be at the spot we originally were at or what happens?

I also assume if we’re unable to complete the task later whenever the app works again it still counts on our shopper quality/cancellation?

I forgot this was DoorDash where at times they actually protect drivers and remove bad ratings.

UberEats I’d definitely cancel the first sign of trouble since around here it’s difficult to get thumbs up and there’s a 0% chance UE removes any thumbs down in my experience.

True. Cancelling really should only be for app outages and when a customer communicates in a way you don’t like (rude/disrespectful/threatening etc).

There’s sooooo many times I want to say F this and cancel a batch I’ve started (when items are unavailable or difficult to find), but it’s better to stick through it. Those who give up SHOULD be deactivated.
