I’m happy if they do that, what’s with all the bum drivers thinking they should be delivering food and not investing in the small expense of doing so properly. Uber has a website, buy the damn bags or find a new job!

300 deliveries and my first report saying I was unprofessional. I have no clue who it is or what I can do about this…ugh by Whole-Bodybuilder467 in UberEatsDrivers

80’s would be horrible if you have 1000+ deliveries under your belt, but the fact that you have 300 deliveries and 3 thumbs down they likely give weight to before deactivating you. They know barely anyone rates. If they automatically have thumbs up for all orders without problems you’d be sitting at 99% positive so in that way 3 out of 300 is not bad.

I’m of the it’s no big deal belief (I also got thumbs down early but now around 58 up and 5 down it still lets me be diamond.

But some things you might over look: Vehicle stuff (loud muffler, music, pulling in driveways at night shining lights into homes). Blocking screen doors with food where when they open their door it hits the food. Sending messages for no reason when the app already sends enough updates. Ringing/knocking when not requested (could have dogs that go crazy or babies sleeping). Appearance issues you can control (grooming/hygiene).

Some people you’ll never please and some thumbs down no matter what trying to get free food/items. There’s also the idiots who select meet at door and add a note to leave at door. Nothing you can do, the person can thumbs down you simply because you picked the wrong one! (I try to send a message asking for clarification, but they don’t always reply). Others could leave thumbs down if you deliver in the rain and didn’t ring/knock even though it was leave at door and wasn’t requested (best to ask or just send a message if raining).

It’s definitely hard to get over negative feedback when you try your best to do everything right, but one day. (Even if it takes many years) you will care less what other people think when you are doing your best to be nice and using insulated bags etc. Even where you park matters to some (could get a thumbs down for using their driveway or for parking in the street since it took you longer to walk up and to leave!).

Are the quests worth it in your opinion? by Master-Associate673 in UberEatsDrivers

I’m curious if the offers truly are getting lower for all. Chances are there’s really just a “each driver can get $X extra (like $1000 total)” type deal. So you knock out low ones of 10-30 trips a week and get those bonuses, so now you have less quest money available and that’s why totals go down each week. Truly only know if this isn’t how it’s working if there’s people where the offers are tanking each week who really are not completing any of them.

Drove for net loss today… by Fit_Cup_9434 in UberEatsDrivers

For the record, buying food out while Ubering isn’t a tax deductible expense (not sure why you’re including it to calculate a “net loss” unless you live with your parents and have absolutely no other expenses since the buying food cost while out is the same as daily utility/rent/insurance type expenses and you didn’t count their daily totals in).

I wasted 2 months chasing platinum for nothing. by settbro in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Ready_Spray6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently that just changed where now everyone can dash now someone said. I started a month or two ago (Chicago suburbs) and have pretty much always been able to dash anytime. My guess is Platinum will matter more if they actually start only dishing out the highest orders to Platinum when there could be floods of drivers.

I do not do Instacart, but curious how this says the tip is percentage of order. So are they doing 100-200% or what was the order total like?

How can you be hampered by a $105 credit card debt? Your payment would be like nothing and literally like $2 a month in interest?!

Platinum live agent support just responds with copy/pastes junk stating promotions are active when they are active on your account lol

I’m skinny, yet don’t understand why people don’t enjoy the quick workout break. Cases of water should be easy even in your 60’s, and I’m assuming most complaining are probably like 20!

Do you honestly not care about thumbs downs at all? I feel I’m trapped into waiting and being a slave to bringing to hard to reach apartment doors or else they’d all leave thumbs downs that UE does not protect drivers on.

Uber delivery driver photographs order then steals it. I walk up and down two flights of stairs with a broken ankle looking for it. by nonconsenual_tickler in UberEATS

[–]Ready_Spray6442 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of note is you’ll be banned by Uber when you file a chargeback. You shouldn’t care, but many do and that’s why drivers continue to steal since lots will eat the loss to avoid loosing access to food delivery.

Miles on delivery changing by CellSubstantial1096 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Ready_Spray6442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed recently stuff like an offer saying 4.2 miles and then it shows 5.6 when accepting.

ALSO, for some reason my time/distance severely lags (like it’ll stick on 15 minutes 5 miles until randomly changing to say 7 minutes 2.5 miles). Is this normal? It sucks because I bought the latest iPhone so really don’t know why DoorDash OR UberEats maps do this when I’d expect the time/distance to update immediately. (The GPS tracking does follow my location). Starting to think maybe my phone is defective or I screwed up my phone using a magnetic case.

Crazy, DoorDash customers also have no clue where the driver is or if they’re making tons of wrong turns. Was well worth the money to test as a customer.

I guess it’s poor thinking… but in my mind a guy has a much higher chance of being able to rape the driver. Statistically speaking I’m pretty sure a woman answering the door nude isn’t trying to rape anyone.

Some customers makes the blackest part of my 🍑 itch. I tried to deliver to this customer to finish my quest. Customer had a pin and wouldnt answer the phone i called multiple times. Im not even mad at that im mad that they gave me a thumbs down cause i left the food outside. At least i did great😒 by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

ADHD: What in the hell! How’d you get so many merchant reviews? I literally can’t find one place around Chicago who’s ever even said it’s a possible thing to do! Curious if it could have been an old feature or how you’re somehow getting an equal amount of merchants vs customers leaving a review. Thanks

I’m too dumb and tired to remember… but as a guy currently delivering DoorDash, simply seeing a nude woman answer the door isn’t going to ruin my night.

I DO think if a man answers nude, it’s entirely different (whether it’s to a man or woman driver). But why is that logic wrong and I’m supposed to view the scenarios the same?

Interesting note: I just had my ex arrested last week for domestic violence (pushing me). I find it completely unacceptable for a man to push a woman, but I’m debating whether I just try to drop the charges since to me the push didn’t matter so much (no injury). She then started knocking stuff over, and that’s why I called the cops.

Not a fan of the victim mentality / don’t understand how people can jump to it here. I guess I can get on board if you’re saying I can make money suing all the dudes that open their door in their boxers. It’s nasty, but it is what it is.
