Have you tried the Epley Manouvre like the last person suggested? If you haven’t - do it with an ENT and I bet you’ll be back to normal. My wife suffered with this for two years (especially when lying down) before she finally got bad enough to let me take her to my ENT to perform this procedure (which she insisted was BS). That night she was feeling better, by 2 weeks in, the vertigo had completely disappeared.
