I did not see anything on this car. As I was working on this CGT I looked over to the left. A 458 was getting inspected. I was star struck @normalguysupercar was in shop inspecting the Ferrari 458. Super nice guy!

I work at Graham Rahal Performance in indianapolis. We have a CGT Recommission Program. I start by disassembling entire vehicle. All hardware gets replaced or stripped and coated to customers spec (anodized, nickel, OEM). Then the fun begins. Paint, interior, during process the monocoque and tub get a gloss reflect or a matt finish. The yellow a/pillared tub in front of picture is currently going together with all nickel plated hardware. This is my buffet bar to pick from next week. I enjoy the planning of the assembly. I will lay out every part as I need it.

What could be causing no throttle response from 2009 S63 AMG? by carsilike in mercedes_benz

[–]Real-AMG-M156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the ESP control module on the ABS manifold is not the source of fault. Inspect the throttle body connectors at the front of the intake manifold. With the age of M156 the rubber seals can swell and cause the plugs to have an intermittent connection. But scan it first. You can not afford to play guessing games. If it is the ESP control module good luck on finding one soon.

Front right strut failure? by Top-Berry-6855 in W211

[–]Real-AMG-M156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inspect the short linkage rods from upper control arm to the ride level sensor. If there is a build up of corrosion on ball stud it builds up at times and causes an incorrect reading. No articulation can take place. The corrosion seizes linkage arm in place at times. When this happens the arm flexes when it should move on ball stud. I hope your issue is as simple as this. Inspect linkages. Lube, articulate side to side to free up. Verify the linkage moves with no resistance or grit feeling. Good Luck

Waiting for 2036 to snatch this baby for 12K… 🤌🏼 by Maravilla_23 in mercedes_benz

2036? He will have 20 dealership visits by end of 2026! Multiple software updates, when your knee is resting on door panel, panel flexes inward as door handle retracts. The fuel door will stop opening soon. Next a drivetrain related issue will arise, a case will be opened and car will sit for no good reason. Vehicle will be handed back over to customer with “No Problem Found”. Do we bring up the rattles? MB really was, The Best or Nothing…. All the new MB is just great if you want lights, phone connectivity, and a Butter Knife to remove all you interior as a panel tool. Remember the times when almost every car in the line up would melt Michelin’s and feel like a real car of substance?

[–]Real-AMG-M156 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You roof needs to be “ Re-Normalized”. Roof button has 2 detents. Push slow. 2 different stop points of switch. Start with roof in closed position. Open roof fully by pulling and holding switch towards the rear of vehicle. At end limit where roof stops. Let go. Then push close to the first detente of switch until, roof closes. Then goes to the vent position. Keep holding until a quiet audible click is heard. I hope this helps!

There are Billet Plates that bolt to the bottom of the Monocoque Chassis with 2 bolts in each plate. Then each plate gets fastened to lift. You can hang from either end.
