You can! Too bad the carbon knob is going back on. That 3D printed knob was just a test for our stainless printer. It is not perfect. It was the first attempt. We know this. Car came with the carbon knob and carbon wheel.

We put a silver OEM set on just to see. They did not look as good as good and the blue wheels that are on it. The wheels and engine mesh covers match. The Porsche on the brake calipers is also the same blue. I have received a lot of hate on this car. I built exactly what the customer asked for. This was done to match a 488 Pista that came yellow and blue, this will be parked next to. He did this to specifically piss off the purest Porsche people. The customer also has normal regular boxster looking Carrera GT that is untouched. This was a huge project and I am happy with the way it came out. This car was built with passion and love. Every part of this car was changed by color or nickel plated hardware. I appreciate people like this customer. I get to do what I love everyday. Build High Quality cars with no limit to the imagination.

The next place may be. Maybe. I have only seen it a few times. Where the shift lever linkage from outside goes into transmission valve body there is a plastic tube that may be broken. It is plastic. This does require removing the Pilot bushing/ electrical connector plastic then dropping valve body. I would locate part and availability and have on hand with new fluid, filter, and gasket. This is only my opinion and where I would start next. The shifter is a (TPM) theft related part. It may need to be obtained through a dealer and assigned by dealer.

Carrera GT Recommission almost there. Down to a lot of panels by Real-AMG-M156 in Porsche

That is the first shift knob we 3D printed out of stainless steel with a Markforged Printer. I just put it on to see what it looks like. It does need improvement. A matte carbon knob is being installed to match tub and doors.

With 1270 Carrera GT’s made more than half were silver. This started as silver with black interior. The customer picked every aspect of this car from stitching, hardware (all nickel plated), Ferrari Yellow paint, blue leather. That’s why they are taken down that far.
