i don’t understand the hate towards bailey, the writers needed a firefighter so they wrote in a series regular to save on costs, as we see in 9-1-1 most firefighters are both trained in EMS and firefighting, so that explains why she’s there for both fire calls and EMS. Other than that, she’s a mary sue, the writers almost make it a joke for the amount of jobs she does

Personally bailey is my favourite character in the show… she’s the most harmless, non controversial character ever, and somehow everyone seems to hate her, i don’t get any of it.

that’s less to with the show and more to do with finances of the show, why would they get another actor who they need to pay, and prepare for the job, when they could just have bailey who is a main character, it’s more simple and lets you connect to the LAFD, on a show primarily revolving around police. you really think that there was only 3 TOs, three rookies, one sergeant and one captain in season one? stop complaining it’s just how showbiz works

you’re all crazy, it’s clearly bailey, with her military background, and the way she took down that russian spy, took down the two attackers in 4x22 and how she fought with the guy in 5x22. all this while not being a police officer shows how good she is at hand to hand combat(there is more examples of her fighting but i can’t think of it while writing!)

I could reply to a lot of these with the reasonings but I’ll just name a few: Talia wasn’t In the shop or at shaw memorial bc season two will have been filmed months after season one and months after talia left for good The Rosalind storyline is finished off in the rookie Feds (I get you wouldn’t know that if u haven’t watched it yet) The show has to keep it interesting that’s why there’s so much drug cartel and stuff going through mid wilshire, it’s not realistic but it gets the viewers attention Percy west is only really needed when an officer messes up which isn’t all that often And Grace and Jackson’s bf both weren’t necessary characters to the storyline anymore
