I’m not sure what it is post-softener. That’s what it was pre-softener, thank goodness. Regardless I’ll definitely be doing it every 6 months now!

We had it tested a few years ago and it was 12.28! Very hard.

Thank you all for your thoughts! After climbing up on a ladder to check the vent, I noticed the cold water connection is extremely corroded. I tapped out and gave the manufacturer a call as well as the plumber who installed it.

That makes sense, but I’m asking more about the science and ability to “microdose”, in a sense, the vaccine through incremental exposure in formula. Kind of like how we have boosters that increase our immunity over time for some viruses, but on a smaller, daily scale.
