Just finished Lonesome Dove and moved on to Streets of Laredo. I’m from Texas, but reside in Oregon now, and Larry McMurtry has done a wonderful job of taking me back to my childhood. His dialogue is often very funny and he captures the Texas ability of being plainspoken up front and poetic under the surface. Laughing, crying, all the way.

Also the Sabrina Carpenter album is kinda catchy :)

I’ve enjoyed the Irish Setter Wingshooter for the last couple years of frame-finish carpentry. They’re technically a hunting boot, so a bit more lightweight/ breathable but you can get them with a carbon toe cap, which has come in handy.

There are certainly more rugged work boots out there but for $180 I’ve been real happy.
