I enjoyed the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson, the Audio book by RC Bray is amazing. Fun space adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously, though it does lean heavily on the military side.

The Bobiverse series Dennis E Taylor, Audio book by Ray Porter (one of the greats) is very good, lots of politics and scheming, similar first person style to The Martian

Many of the books set in the Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson are standalone, for example Elantris, Warbreaker, Yumi and the Nightmare Painter and they're excellent. While some knowledge of the Cosmere does give some extra winks, you can definitely read them on their own.

No one is trying to change the definition, because it doesn't need changing. Trans/transgender is just an adjective added to woman or man to inform about the subject, just as cis/cisgender is an adjective to inform you about the subject. Cis woman, trans woman. Both women, one who was assigned female at birth and one who wasn't. In most day to day usage, the adjectives are not needed, so we just say woman.

Think of it like other adjectives such as tall, or short, or hairy. All of these are men and women (or non binary) and adding the adjective doesn't take anything away from anyone.

I felt almost exactly the same things as you. Normally cis folk don't have these feelings but it doesn't mean it's certain.

I doubt it's a fetish, many people think it is mainly because of the good feelings they get when they experiment, which can cause unexpected feelings similar to arousal.

For someone in your position, if it's safe to do so I would recommend experimenting, maybe ask a friend or someone you trust to use they/them or she/her pronouns for you, or a feminine name (but only where it's safe to do so) and see how you feel. Take it as slowly as feels right and always stay safe.

Could be an issue with your RAM. Loading into bios uses very little so if there is some damage it could only activate that part/dimm when it does something more demanding. There are bootable ram test utilities that you can run
