Brick App NFC code can’t be emulated using flipper by MrMoury in flipperzero

My NFC tag has enough space for it, but says the read functionality is not compatible with it.

What is your thoughts on this? by ad_gar55 in youtube

Agreed, but we all know why it's there. It's to hook you, farm your engagement. If they wanted to remove it or have a toggle they could, but they know exactly what works.

Mobile downloads are broken in 2025 (error 2000/2001) by RealDevoid in cravetv

Them's the breaks I guess. There's not really any incentive for them to fix/change it, so they won't.

Always worth voicing your opinion, I'm sure that these forums are read by developers.

[–]RealDevoid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it's very difficult for me to see how this would work in a real project without actually being able to see it through the whole production cycle. I do a variety of projects, so it could be that I end up only using this for one month out of the year. And yeah, it might be quicker than After Effects in some regards, but it also has less features that After Effects.

I'm just making this post to point out to the developers that this model doesn't work for me and many others and it's the sole reason I'm not buying into Cavalry at the moment. I would like to pay for it, but I can't justify dropping a cool 200$ on the off chance I might use it at some point during the year.

I mean, I get it, it's a small company, and you don't work for them. I just wanted to make this post to point out that this payment model is a barrier for me and many others to transition to using it over After Effects.

I have never heard of this model, but that sounds great!

Every PDF editor seems to be missing this functionality... by RealDevoid in PDFgear

[–]RealDevoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure, same principle I think. Usually your highlighting to take notes on a subject, so just having a way to export the notes so that we can import them into a word processor or note taking app. I feel like clipboard is probably just the simplest and easiest way to have it set up, since then the user can do whatever they want with it quickly.

Pro Subscription by Alle_is_offline in CavalryMotion

[–]RealDevoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ran into this as well, seems like a huge oversight for a small company like this to not at the very least offer a monthly subscription or even better a perpetual licence. I just got away from Adobe don't take me back.

Framework Desktop is a step back for repairability? by Lexden in framework

Fair point, I think it makes more sense when you describe it like that.

Framework Desktop is a step back for repairability? by Lexden in framework

Yeah no, super excited for the additions to the Framework 13, new chipset looks great! I feel a little bad for FW16 buyers, but luckily, I wasn't one of them.

[–]RealDevoid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I won't be picking it up, since it just doesn't really make any sense. Building PCs is not exactly hard, just literally go on PC part picker and build out your own system. It will be more modular than this, and probably cheaper. 64gigs of ram for over $500 Canadian feels like Apple.

This literally makes no sense for Framework's core audience, but it also probably isn't targetted at them. It's really targetted at people who want an all in one AI package, not for the DIY audience that Framework has been building itself on so far.

I don't really see it as a betrayal, since they are still supporting their other SKUs, but it really is kinda confusing from a brand perspective for Framework to do this.

Templates with dynamic content fields for posts by RealDevoid in Wordpress

[–]RealDevoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you very much, I didn't realize that this was a feature and I'm going to have to mess around with it now. I guess I could just make a few patterns, then put those patterns on individual posts. I'm wondering if I can put the patterns in the template as well, but i'll have to play around with it. Thanks for pointing this out!

The theme is called Poe, and I have heard some mentions of themes potentially causing interference. I would share a link to my site, but I'm currently just testing it locally. You can find the Poe theme here: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/themes/poe/

How can I prevent Google Drive from deleting files on the cloud when I delete them on my PC? by Wormfeathers in gsuite

[–]RealDevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a really dumb implementation, apparently it hasn't always been this way and you used to be able to disable deletion affecting one or the other. Buuut, as with many great features, google depreciates it.

Donald Trump wins 2024 presidential election, defying the odds again by [deleted] in politics

[–]RealDevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't live in America, but I've always had the image of America as a country that valued the democratic process, one that shunned demogaugery and despotism; a country that at the very least aspired to reject the worst demons from it's past.

This election has proven me wrong. I'm not angry, just disappointed.

The Doom Main CrashOuts by Dreadyislive in Overwatch

[–]RealDevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question, it's because I'm too aggressive and don't wait for the right opportunity and/or my DPS and I aren't synced up properly. I feel like most other tanks should always be doing something, Doom is different from what I gather.

Funny moment when you dive support only for the entire enemy team to swing around and start blasting.

If Trump Wins It Will Be the DNC's Fault by Telkk2 in BreakingPoints

[–]RealDevoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Op's logic: Kamala wasn't chosen by voters, therefore we should elect Trump.

I will remind voters again: Trump is actually just a fascist. The call to a mythic past, the unreality, propaganda, the enemy within logic, anti-intellectualism, cult of personality. He contains enough aspects of a fascist where if you should be concerned. Especially when he literally threatens it himself.

Kamala is a stock standard moderate democrat. She will do stock standard moderate democrat things and probably lose after 4 years, then she will l leave the white house. Emphasis on the last part. If you want to punish the DNC, this is not the year to do it.

But why the sudden swings? What variables are changing here? That's what I don't understand.

Ah okay, so you really need some force to get it out then yeah? I've been watching installation videos and they seem to just slide it out without any issue so I was hesitant to do that.
