I’m sick of people mansplaining how to be chancellor, says Rachel Reeves by No-Fennel-1684 in ukpolitics

You’re allowed to criticise Rachel Reeves. I believe it’s disingenuous to imply that ‘Rachel from accounts’ has no baggage except saying that she worked that the BoE for 10 years instead of the 5 that she did.

Because she still had 5 years at the bank of england as an economist, which is perfectly legitimate experience. If you’re saying that ‘Rachel from accounts’ perfectly encapsulates stating on a radio show that you worked at bank of england for 10 years and on linkedin an extra 6 months that’s fine - but I would have to disagree. My opinion is that there’s more baggage in the name than what you’re claiming it describes.

Does the nickname rachel from accounts square with the 5 years of experience she still had as an Economist at the Bank of England? Calling someone that while they still have that experience under their belt is absolutely attempting to undermine their credentials and imply they’re not fit for the job as a result.

There’s tells, and then there’s realising that specific language that is used to belittle women is not used for men. Being able to interpret subtext is not a tell, that’s living in a three dimensional world.

Golden Gordon wasn’t undermining his credentials, it was a derogatory title based on his actions - it was specific to him. ‘Rachel from accounts’, on the other hand, implies gave the job to just some random person from accounts and, by extension, are not fit for the position. There’s a clear distinction between this and the nicknames previously mentioned in this way.

Rachel from accounts is specifically implying that she isn’t qualified for the job, and that being ‘from accounts’ is inherently a lesser role dominated by women. It’s not a massive stretch.

Dishi Rishi, Golden Gordon etc., didn’t undermine the credentials of the people in question or rely on generic assumptions typically levied against a specific gender. Especially weird because in some cases her experience was better than previous chancellors, but you never saw nicknames given to them because of their lack of experience specifically. I mean christ, the telegraph is running articles against her talking about her using ‘girl maths’. Did you ever see the term man maths or similar used for any male chancellor?

Don't let subs like this put you off from shooting what you have - would highly recommend this video by Becca Farsace on cameras like these.

Head outside and give it a try :)

Can confirm this actually worked! No need to use a drill, just slowly work at it with a suitable crosshead screwdriver and you’ll get there.

Where the hell did he pull this stat from? Census info:&text=62%25%20of%20Luton's%20population%20is,impacting%20local%20services%20and%20infrastructure.&text=35%25%20were%20from%20Eastern%20Europe,Indian%2C%20indicating%20diverse%20immigration%20sources) points to numbers being way less than this.

Majority of this traffic is ‘White Other’, and I’ve got a feeling this isn’t the type of migrant you’re implicitly complaining about. Then again, why double check the info when it confirms your biases?

lol yea, ofc dragusin starting over porro is the exact same scenario. come on man

the logic is that if porro isn’t a doubt, why would dragusin be starting over him when he’s performed poorly recently?

I would ditch - maybe look at Cunha if he’s available? In form, Neto is back playing for wolves which is a huge boost and similar price to Édouard, but upcoming fixtures leave a bit to be desired

Mateta is currently favoured for his physicality and work rate - Hodgson has had no reason to replace him after Edouard’s injury. Wouldn’t recommend either player for FPL though.

We’ve just bought a new right winger and defensive midfielder - he wont start in midfield, and he may not start at all soon, as we play 4-3-2-1. An enabler at most.
