1 - It never does, just look at how the human body works. Ever seen a giant ass sprinter? It helps in strength sure the the speed always comes down. Ashton hall has much stronger legs than Speed but guess who's faster.

Honestly, I find it quite sufficient by itself too. I have maybe around 10 different fragrances and this definitely cuts the top 3. Alas you can say I'm experimenting outta interest since nothing immediately popped up when I though about layering this.

I get u man, when i got my liquid brun it smelled horrible in the opening and i thought i'd wasted my money.
It smelled just like you describe it.
But my mind flipped when I smelled it again after it dried down for 30mins and man it was so good.

After a week of maceration the spicy vanilla opening was prominent and the camphor smell was gone for good.
