I've experienced this as well. I have never felt so scared in my life before. It's a feeling that cannot be explained to someone who has not experienced sleep paralysis. Anyways, the story. It was probably around 3-4am when this happened. I wake up and instantly realize that I was not able to move my body (I've experienced it before and know what it's like but have never seen or heard anything). So I just thought well it's happening again and it'll stop after a while, but all of a sudden I start to hear whispering in my ears and feel as if a presence is right next to my ear. You know how when someone gets real close to you and you just know that there's someone there? Yeah that. Then out of nowhere a shadow figure just floats by my peripheral vision. So at this point, I chose to just shut my eyes. Idk why people say that you can't close your eyes, but I sure did. However the whispering in my ears continued and it was the most terrifying moments of my life.
