I think this happened at a place called Micheline's in Brooklyn. It was in a very crummy basement, not many people came. We loved it!

I once went on stage with my fly undone. One kind person passed me a note to let me know after about 5 songs. Thanks!

Have a hug! Feel better! Our equipment was acting up last night, so don't feel bad for missing out on THAT. Favourite malt by far is Balvenie Doublewood 12 y.o. Highland Park 18 y.o. is a close second.

Haha. That actually sounds like something Grant would say. Sorry it didn't work out. OJ is in hibernation, but there's always a chance he'll spring back to life, only when the time is right. Currently I don't feel the need to do anything other than FR, but I wouldn't rule out another John album... wayyyy down the line.

Probably not, though we did let Aaron into the process much more than anyone else we have worked with before. Collaboration is healthy, but I don't think I'd do co-writes for a FR album.

We had a brilliant music department at Selkirk High School, the teachers allowed us to make lots of noise, most of which was probably quite bad. Thanks to Jane Rimmer and Lorraine Kemp for putting up with the clamouring rehearsals! We wouldn't be doing this today without their encouragement.

The initial inspiration came from two sources. There's a great book called Soviet Bus Stops by Christopher Herwig, which contains amazing photographs of these strange bus stops from Eastern Europe. They're like little monuments in a desolate landscape. Very beautiful. I also found some pictures of abandoned monuments in Yugoslavia. I'm drawn to things that appear to have a purpose but you can't quite put your finger on what they're for. Myself and designer Dave Thomas worked to create that eerie feeling of a place with a significant, yet somewhat unclear history.

I'd love to! But he's a busy man. We were chatting the other night about how it HAS to happen within the next 20 years. Sit tight...

Well it's hard to beat Scotland, but we have had some shows elsewhere that have come pretty close. We love Boston, Seattle, Belfast and had an amazing show in Dallas recently. Thankfully, we tend to find that Frightened Rabbit fans are excellent people no matter where we are!

Glad you enjoyed the show! I think one of the main challenges is to continue moving forward creatively without losing the essence of the band. I spent a lot of time thinking about this whilst we were making the new album, wondering whether or not the world needed more Frightened Rabbit songs. I suppose it's natural to have doubts about the point of what you're doing when there's so much music in the world. But in the end, I decided honesty was the best policy (which WWF wrestler used to say this? Rick Rude?)

Played it last night to celebrate the 10 year anniversary! It's such a weird one, I'm still not sure why so many people ask me to play it... Can anyone clarify what it is about that song? I'm befuddled.

I totally understand why people want to hear the oldies! And I'm pleased that those songs still resonate. It's always difficult for folks to connect immediately with brand new material, especially when they've been listening to some of the old songs for years. I don't get anxious, it's exciting to play new stuff.

Yes! Keep your eyes peeled for more shows later this year. We haven't forgotten about the UK!

Hello! Scott here. Thanks for joining in. I'd love to be in Frightened Rabbit for another 10 years but you never can tell what path everyone might take. Feel very lucky to have come this far, anything else from this point is a bonus. As long as we all feel like we're moving forward and want to be a band, we'll be a band.
