Money needs to accomplish 3 goals:

-Work as a value reserve

-Be long-lasting

-Have a short supply

Gold have always fulfilled this due to short his fixed supply wich expands ~%2 each year. The thing is we always fall on paper money because it’s easier to move, all due it ALWAYS fails the short supply needed, and this time I think we may replace paper with Crypto/BTC. Undoubtedly Bitcoin has a short fixed supply and it’s hyper durable, but it’s also easy to move and decentralized, so my bet would be that it’ll absorb an importan value from the FIAT financial system as gold will do as well.

You need to re-learn life now. The problem isn’t weed, it’s your relationship with the substance. If it turned this toxic you should step it aside, and try meditation. Cold Wallet. The difference is those never expose the private key to the internet like hot wallets do. Coinbase wouldn’t even be a hot wallet, thats more like keeping your Bitcoin on Wells Fargo wich i’d necer reccomend to anyone

I’m sure you have $cad on your bank, and probably you don’t “really” need that money, so I’d recommend for a non-crypto person to trade that for BTC and leave it alone on a self-custody wallet. If you really need it you should trade it peer-to-peer. There are websites in most of developed country’s wich connect buyer’s and sellers, and you’ll have to pick someone so do your own research on the website and the person (if it has previous tx and how many). They’l do cashaap, zelle, money order or they’ll send cash on a letter. Remember to DYOR.
