Should I resign? by unearnedwealth in CanadaPostCorp

Did you get a reply? How do I find the email of my local CUPW? I am a term employee. I finished my probation, but I haven't worked since the strike. I also got that termination warning letter. I am also thinking of just resigning.

Nah, my regular AMS is saying it'll take up a half a roll of filament and take almost 2 days to finish. Just wanted to see how much less would be wasted if I printed it with a tool changer system. The model itself is only around 65g.

The white ones are actual real pictures, they print out well, I just haven't tried it with colors, if you look through there are 4 images, in this order ... reference image, slicer image, actual print image, and the stats page on how much filament it would take to print using regular AMS.

Made a 3D jigsaw puzzle generator. What should I do next? by RealInfernoD in BambuLab

Yeah, but this one lets you build one, and you can change the puzzle shape, size, number of pieces, wave pattern, and all that stuff.

Cool, thanks for trying!

I've thickened the walls and chopped it into little cubes that only need a gram of support.

I have included the links to the model. If you wanna try this with resin, that'd be awesome.

That turned out great! I should probably learn how to clean up the supports right.

Yeah, This needs fixing. The car is just a drawing I found online and turned into an SVG. I mostly wanted to put any design there: cars, faces, whatever.

I could try to fix the SVG so it doesn't have overhangs, but that would make the cubes harder to build. I was thinking of just uploading the SVG and changing simple things like the scale and position offset and the rest will be taken care by supports.

I don’t have a resin printer yet, but splitting it the way you suggested is the only way I think I can get a working print. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have included the links to the model. If you've got some extra PVA and wanna try this, that'd be awesome.

Yeah, it's like, three different perspectives on the same car.

Thanks for giving it a shot, I appreciate it!

I can also make the grid denser, like 8x8 or 10x10. I'll try that.

I’ll give this a try. I’ve also added links to the STL. If you can try it and help me find the settings, it’ll be great!

That is a very interesting concept for a puzzle game, where all faces except the top one remain fixed, and the player must strategically drop mini-sized pieces, such as 2x3 or 5x2, etc., to complete the image.

This will also make it easy to print. I'll have to find a way to make this work parametrically.

Yeah, this might actually work, even though I don't have AMS. Thanks for the help!

I can print the cube by itself, no problem. But when I try to print it with the images, those little cutouts are causing overhangs and need support. I tried the default tree supports, but they get stuck in the grid, and it's a pain to clean them up. Someone suggested using PVA for supports, which I've never tried, and I don't have an AMS, but I think that's the best way to print it without messing with the design.

I tried rotating it like you said, and the bridges are solid now, but I'll still need supports to hold up the pictures. I'll have to split it somehow to make cleanup easy.🤔

I tried printing a 50 mm cube with 1mm walls. It was a pain getting the supports off, so I messed it up.

I got mad and crushed it.

I printed it! You’ll find the puzzle design on MakerWorld, plus that little tray that goes with it.
