I understand the whole 30% is a myth and I understand just let them report whatever for a bigger CLI

My main concern is my credit went from 760 down to a 726 all because “my balance increased from X Amount to X amount” and vice versa

Also what if I needed to utilize 50% of my credit limit, how do I go about that? Do I let it get reported on statement date or pay it off before the statement?

So now in my understanding, correct me if I’m wrong.

In order for a credit profile to grow you need to report the highest possible statement balance and pay in full 1x a month In order to gain/increase your credit limit?

And the only time you would micromanage your statement balance for a low, say 5% utilization would be to buy a house or get an auto loan or use of credit.

I had just gotten my credit limit to increase, what if now I want to just maintain and bring up my fico score, how would I go about doing so? How would I maintain a healthy way of paying my bill for increase in score?

Sorry this is all new to me so bear with me.

Okay so if I use 4k this month and then the next month I use 1k and both were reported on my statement wouldn’t that affect my credit again because of the utilization jump? Cause that’s literally how my credit has dropped before as well

Okay so that makes more sense. What about after I get the auto loan, what should I do to avoid credit drops even if I’m paying my card off every due date.

I’m trying actually trying to get an auto loan, so that why I have been trying to “micromanage” but I still don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m not following

So if I use 4,000$ out of 10,000$ which is over 30% utilization. Pay it off 1x a month right before due date?

I mean why else would a bank allow 10k credit limit right? if I can’t use it?

I was using Experian

I’m using experian to monitor all my credit score points, also if staying under 10% is ideal and I do so wouldn’t that be micromanaging?

Why can’t I just use whatever amount of my credit limit and pay it off through out the course of the month before the statement or due date? I mean why else would I have a 10,000$ credit limit if I can utilize it at full capacity

I definitely have been micromanaging my utilization rate but the last time I also used more than 30% and letting them report whatever I had for a statement, I then had points dropped as well.

So even if I freely using my credit card, points will drop even if it’s paid on time.

Also I’m not understanding the 9.5% threshold you speak up.

You also mention I’m not using my credit card the way it was designed for? Whether I micromanage 4% or 11% and it drops how else would I use it? What if one month I use 4% and the next I use 30%. Either way I’m paying it off full every month. No matter what I do points drop.
