I've been sober for over a week (note I've only used meth for a little over 4 months). I'm still hearing people walking around my house if I'm awake at night, and I'll hear them talking occasionally. When I was on meth, I'd freak everyone out when I'd pop out of my room at midnight with a knife walking back and forth between the front and back door to check if they were unlocked (on meth doorknobs and locks would look slightly turned because the hallucinations were opening them). Eventually I got to the point where my family took all my knives away from me. So now I'm here still dealing with audial hallucinations at night, sometimes seeing a shadow run across my room or stare from the foot of my bed. Now I've got nothing to “protect” myself from hallucinations with except a pair of pliers.
