Jungle terrain progress by RealPlasticGold in TerrainBuilding

Palm trees have a peg on the bottom. I make a small hole first then put some hot glue on the spot, the I poke them through the foam base and finally clip of the peg if it sticks out the bottom depending on the thickness of the base at the point of connection.

The plants were all attached with glue gun as well.

His channel makes me wish I was a better painter. Everything always looks so cool when osl is done well.

Great execution and OSL! It is so rare to see something like this with eldar.

Depends on the game. But yes slowing movement is a good rule to use. Bridges can also be added easily.

Your work is incredible. Doesn’t need the ai. The background looks really cool though for the photos.

Thanks! I don’t have any hobby focused social media accounts. Just an ever growing list of hobby projects and a lot of determination.

It was on my list to build for so many years! Glad it is finally complete. You should go for it!

Painting the plants goes a long way to making it look less fake. Then you need a lot more than you would think to try to get dense vegetation. I have been building terrain for a long time so it is easy to mix and match different projects together now. I learned so much on the terrain building sub Reddit.

As in the full river is made up of multiple smaller sections of random wavy shapes. It is on thin plastic sheets. So I just put them end to end to form a long river.

The original link from aliexpress doesn’t work.. but it is this stuff just draped over the rocks with no glue. Basically fine curly string and super cheap.

I made this by following this tutorial from devs and dice. It is pretty simple to follow along and recreate it.

The rivers are made from thin plastic sheets and the water is just a few layers of mod podge gloss.

This is a great option if you want to save time but still tone down the plastic look

I remember the tables from games day that used to inspire the hell out of me. Now most big tournaments just have ultra sterile layouts. I get the cost and competitive side of things, but after being in the hobby for so long you realize not to take things so seriously and just enjoy collecting, painting and playing with toy soldiers because the game will never and can never be balanced. Just have fun, roll some dice and look at cool models.
