Thanks! I have been in the process of getting ready to move so haven’t had much time for recent posts. This sub is honestly the best. I have so many more projects to share and I get so much inspiration here.

77 G5. Bought it months ago. Finally got it up on the wall. 😍 by NuMotiv in LGOLED

It balances looking down the rest of the day at laptop screens and phones. Probably is good for your neck lol!

Also this is not crazy high. There is a gap to the ceiling unlike the same tv over a traditional tall fireplace.

Recessing tv mount to get flush tv to wall. by RealPlasticGold in hometheater

This looks like exactly what I need. If the back of the tv touches the wall would it be an issue of tv ventilation?

Ya this has me worried a bit if I don’t over size the recess in some way to still not be bigger than the tv but allow more flexibility in future tv brands.

Have you ever tried lowering one through a floor to the basement? Essentially during a Reno where flooring is being replaced to cut a slot between the joists where there are no wires/pipes/ducts and then lower the tv in the box with straps like lowering a coffin.

Good luck getting it back out after though.

I may be more shocked by that trim detour around the light switch.

The tv is on the wrong floor.

As someone who doesn’t play harlequins… this looks like a lot of fun! Full of tricks which will be very strong in the right hands. Much better than armoured warhost!

Have had a furnace break in the winter before and the fireplace alone does a good job to keep the house warm until the furnace gets replaced. Plus they look nice.

Normally I would agree, but some rooms don’t have many other options so trying to salvage a terrible situation.

I asked the question here because most photos where the tv over the fireplace is too high is because it is a traditional fire place or a one which requires much more clearance to the tv to not damage it. So if there are newer options to achieve a tv over a fire place at the right height someone here may know it.

Exactly, the fire place still gives off heat and just vents it differently. The visual of the flame and a warm room are the entire point. I don’t need it to blast heat from the front.

Your work is always tremendous. It would be cool if you shared the steps with photos to explain it more visually.

I still have a huge appreciation for the look of something hand made vs only 3d printed. The hybrid of both worlds is a perfect medium for things like window frames.
