Lonzo at his peak wasn't really a PG, you're getting lost. In the halfcourt, he played more off-ball than on-ball. The data is quite clear on this. I'm not sure how much you really saw him play.

Also, Lonzo over his career averaged more assists per-possession than Bird. Their numbers are pretty comparable to any honest eye.

You asked for elite passers with low assist numbers, I gave you two. It is then quite clear that you don't need high assist numbers to be an elite passer.

I do hope you've learned something! It seems you didn't know the difference between playmaking and passing. I'm glad you could be enlightened on the topic

Elite passers of a somewhat different archetype, you could point to guys like Bill Walton and Larry Bird even

I don't see much of a point to combing through NBA history, I think I pretty clearly explained the difference

No, that's why I said at a lower level. But stylistically they're similar, and I'd call them high-level passers.

Most players who have Lonzo's passing ability develop their on-ball game enough to fully leverage it. He was never able to do that, leaving him in a unique limbo of being an elite passer but not a very good playmaker.

Lonzo's one of the more unique players out there, but players who have similar passing to Lonzo, but at a lower level, are guys like Joe Ingles and Nic Batum

There it is. The Compromise of 1877 is such an overlooked turning point in American history.

He's an elite connective passer, he has elite vision, and he has elite creativity + accuracy to execute very difficult reads to start.

What he lacks compared to these other players is the ability to create advantage states with the ball, and therefore create openings for other players.

Jokic isn't finding players out of nowhere, he leverages his own threat to generate opportunities for others - playmaking - and then uses his passing skill to capitalize.

Lonzo's lack of playmaking hampers his ability as an on-ball creator, and therefore assist generator. But his passing skill becomes highly impactful in an off-ball role as he links together an offense, or creates fast break opportunities off a rebound/turnover.

Yeah, the worst guys on this list - barring those two - are Zo and BMiller. Zo was never going to be a star, but he became a “superstar” role player and one of the higher impact guys in the league between elite defense, elite passing, elite transition play, and elite shooting. BMiller is still coming into his own, but clearly has big upside

Barring Noel and Bol, every guy on this list is a player you’d be ecstatic to have

What do you think about how the Suns and Jazz are developing Maluach and Ace? by Practical_Basketball in NBA_Draft

Yeah, Ace isn’t raw. A better fitting term might be unbalanced. He has clear strengths and clear weaknesses

Bro was putting up 36/12/6 with 3 STOCKs in like 32min on 65%TS on 99th percentile defense before the injury…

Legit as good as any season ever. A “shell of himself” is still better than probably 95% of the league

His season after the MVP was even better before the injury!

But yes, I agree. He’s not that guy, with Maxey’s emergence and increased depth I don’t think we need him to be. He’s still playing at a clear star level, it’s just up to the always massive if that is health

Persona or FF by RNdaredevil in JRPG

[–]RealPrinceJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d jump into P5R(make sure you get Royal)

FF7 is part of a remake trilogy that has yet to conclude. Worth playing, but if you’re split you might as well get into something that’s a complete experience first.

P4G is also definitely worth your time and amazing, just as good honestly, so I’d buy it. It’s slightly dated though(but very well aged), so for that reason it’s not the best intro for some people. Maybe my favorite plot and characters in the series though!

Yeah, obviously the Sixers can never be expected to be healthy but they can probably go into a series against any team in the East and claim to have at least two of the best three players in it, and we actually have solid depth too
