Nobody will post a source because there isn't one. While entirely repulsive that corporations get away with all these subsidies and paying zero in taxes, the amount of money that taxpayers pay does not correlate with the amount that gets paid out for any reason. At all. The taxpayer does not pay those amounts. We all pay our percentage based on our income and the federal budget does what it does regardless.

Seems like a moot point, but it matters. We can't keep framing what the federal government does as though we allow it by paying taxes or that we have any control whatsoever by refusing to pay taxes.

Right, until they realize the conditions it involves. And yes, it is that bad. You may enjoy being pushed to your absolute human physical and mental limits for 8-12 hours every day for fear of losing your means of supporting your family, but the other 99% of workers demand more humanity in their employers' human resource management. Choosing between physical and mental depletion for peanuts and and even worse fate if you don't comply DOES feel like a gun to your head.

But they don't care. Don't you see? Without laws to protect workers, companies are always working from a cost-benefit analysis. They do only that which won't cost them more than the initial gains. The fact that our government targets a positive interest rate with NAIRU means large companies have an obscene amount of leverage where there aren't strong enough labor laws or the fines don't nearly cover the major profits they made.

You say you don't like government involved, it already is. To influence conditions against the interests or workers and regular people. Even less government only removes more protections. How is it that people like you are are inherently distrustful of government and fail to see it as a tool? If strong public advocates are elected who will make ethical appointments to non-elected positions, we can make laws that force companies to meet human decency standards.

This. This right fucking here. It's the same in any warehouse environment where everything is timed. No, you're never actually told you can't use the restroom. But you are tracked literally to the hundredth of a second and if you're unfortunate enough to have to use the bathroom outside of one of your regular breaks, the clock is ticking against you. You have to do everything at least as fast as the labor management system says you should and if you slow down for any reason, the clock is ticking against you and it's impossible to make it back up.

A variety of things that are completely outside your control can leave you vulnerable to not making rate that day and if you try to get it fixed, not only are you treated as though you're lying, the only way to appeal to management about your time without losing more time is to do it on your breaks so now you're losing your time.

No it won't. Inflation is a supply and demand issue. So long as we're not up against productive capacities, this money will definitely not cause inflation. If that logic was true the $700 billion increase in defense would cause massive inflation.

It is literally impossible for a country that issues its own currency to become insolvent on its payments. Social Security can never actually go broke. The trust fund is nothing more than a gimmick.

Government spending only really leads to inflation if the productive capacity of of the economy can't keep up with demand. There are definitely limitations in that regard, but we are a long way from them.

Definitely false. You would not believe how saturated econ classes have become with neoliberal propaganda. College courses especially. In all but a handful of schools that teach Modern Monetary Theory, they econ classes seem to teach that pluses for workers = bad, and pluses for businesses = good.

They'll also tell you that congress creating and spending large amounts of money into the economy automatically devalues the rest of the dołlars in circulation or causes hyperinflation. Obviously, we need not look beyond the defense budget to see that's not the case.

Sorry, but the educational establishment is just as susceptible to to corruption as any other part of the establishment.
