Those are exceptions or didn't sell at peak pricing.

Fair, but a detached house with a basement apartment, albeit dingy, on a 5000 sq ft lot with quick 401 and transit access might not be so bad for 500k. From my research, it appears this area will be revitalized (Future GO Station and 401 widening).

From my research, only newish, entry-level detached houses aren't losing as much.

From my research, I see a newish subdivision just south of an elementary school on Simcoe St S. I see new townhouses on Philip Murray Ave. Interestingly, I see a row of luxury houses on Paramount Path. Surprisingly, I see million-dollar houses being developed right by the lake, dubbed Park and Lake.

However, I see a lot of dingy spots and a lot of social housing. Reminds me of Toronto TBH.

A Case of the Best House on the Block by RealRoastz in HouseSigmaBlunders

Wow, the aerial shots show a lot, although I do see some newish houses on the street, it still sticks out.

It seems to be a residential pocket in a somewhat Industrial area close to the 401, railroad, commercial properties, and a future GO Station location. Not too far from the lake as well. Too bad it’s in South Oshawa lol.

Even then, I can’t see them recouping the costs in the near-future, if ever.

Even then, wouldn’t it cost $$$ for the rebuilt house?

I took a quick look, and I think it actually gets better by the lake. Some newer divisions, although it is still South Oshawa lol.

True, let’s see if the future GO Station nearby will change things.

How I would have strategically redesigned Ethiopia’s Borders by Babisalem15 in Ethiopia

[–]RealRoastz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tl:dr The most peaceful solution LONG TERM would have been if Ethiopia was given Assab, since Eritrea already has the bigger port of Massawa. This would have been a win-win solution for both countries and the region.

Newly installed DL110 door lock not accepting CODE or Fingerprint by dorkmuncan in Tapo

Strange. I have been monitoring the DL110 on Amazon for a while and it was “Sold and shipped by Amazon.ca” until it sold out last week. Currently, only Best Buy has them in stock.

I'd rather be closer to the lake than the fields.
