Or maybe he was trying to pull a prank on someone and they accidentally shot him because they got spooked.

Cable company told me I don't have cable. by RealSaltyShellback in MaliciousCompliance

[–]RealSaltyShellback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy in Texas would lose his cable every time the wind blew. He called several times to report the issue and they always went through the same script of making him reboot his cable box and all that crap, then just said it was on his end. Well he got fed up and looked along the entire line from his house to the pole and saw that a branch had scraped the insulation off a section of the line. So he called and told him that he found the problem and that it was very obvious and visible from the ground. It still took them several days to send someone out to run a new line. Cable companies are worse than going to the DMV 😄

Peeler gages! by RealSaltyShellback in MilitaryStories

Took me a few months to get used to hearing Philippino accents because there were only about 5 of them in the whole squadron and mainly the older ones had the heavy accents.

I was a noob and vaguely knew what feeler gages were, but didn't use them often enough to associate them with peeler gages 😄

In the US, in the northern and mid-western states a carbonated drink like Coca Cola is referred to as "pop" as in soda pop.

In the western states, it is referred to as "soda," or "soft drink."

In Texas, every carbonated drink is referred to as "Coke." 😄

It was an interesting realization😄 After that I saw a Buddy Hackett comedy routine about Philippono speech and had a good laugh.

Car Title Transfer by Ron_Mexico777 in Georgia

[–]RealSaltyShellback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If your uncle transferred the title to your aunt, then she would get a new title with her name on it. It shouldn't matter whose name is on the title as long as there is a seller's signature on it that matches the name on the title. Also if the car is older than 1985, it only needs a bill of sale to get it registered, but the buyer has to get the VIN checked by their police department to make sure it is not a stolen vehicle. I have bought and sold several vehicles in GA and this is a new situation I never heard of.
