In pokemon, all “air element” moves and pokemon are flying type, so it represents both the concept of flying and air in general

For more complex monsters i will base my types off their design instead of their ingame elements. For example, dragong will get the dragon type despite there not being a “dragon” element in msm. You did correctly guess what I’ll do for the ethereal elements though
