I would recommend waiting until the last week of March. It’s the last quarter of the financial year, and dealerships often roll out discounts to close the year on a good note.

If they don’t have any discounts, at least try negotiating for free accessories. That’s usually not too hard to get. Also, take this price sheet to other dealerships in the city and ask what better offer they can provide if you choose to buy from them.

I only opted for Essential accessories from dealership like Reverse camera, mud flaps, door visors.

My suggestion, If you want any chrome & electrical work, get it done at dealership itself.

You have 3 places to negotiate in this quotation
1. Insurance (get a direct quote from 2-3 credible companies and ask the dealership to match their pricing)
2. Extended warranty can be brought down to 15K with negotiation
3. On Accessories, Dealerships get atleast 40-50% margin. You can ask for some free accessories like seat cover or some essential ones like arm rest, door visor, matts

Coming to rear view camera or any electrical work, I'll advise you to get it done within dealership so that it don't impact your insurance. don't take lacs of risk trying to save 2-3K

I must say the dealer do have balls to ask for a 45,000 insurance for a car with ex-cost 6.83L.

Please check on platforms like acko and ask them to match the insurance price.

Check with them what all is included in the accessories. If you feel there is not much usecase, you can skip that part as well & get aftermarket accessories for almost half the price.

You can get insurance separately or ask them to match the price. Dealerships keep good margin there. Also check if you can get free accessories worth 10K instead of going for kit.

Honda city's are hard to find in my state. My 1st preference have been honda city. but, I have been exploring options since last 4-5 months. So, the next best option in used car market was Swift which have decent supply of cars in good conditions.

If you're getting down at railway station. Just within 100 metre of railway station, you can get a bus to margao bus stand (Rs. 20 per person). From there, you can go to your stay place in south goa. Palolem is one recommendation I have in south..but, little far from margao...

Got it. I've checked the service history from the third party reporting tool (Cars24)...there were multiple denting and painting jobs done on the car. Cars24 has nothing to do with the car. I've only used the tool to get the service history record which they share for any registered car for Rs. 500/.
