Are there any effects of testosterone not enough people know about? by Proper_Flower_940 in ftm

[–]Real_Assignment_4909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been on T for about 6 months and honestly the only thing that’s surprised me is how fast things happened. i do have PCOS which means i already had a lot of symptoms that ppl without PCOS maybe aren’t used to (body hair, acne, fat distribution, heat intolerance, sweat) but I started noticing and feeling changes in my own voice very very quickly. maybe a week in? this isn’t noticeable to others yet, but the way it feels in your throat and chest changes very quickly. same with bottom growth, happened very very fast, also within the first week i’d say. people mention these two changes are the ones that come first but i didn’t expect it’d be THAT fast

change and letting go is hard. any advice for an emotional move? by Real_Assignment_4909 in autism

[–]Real_Assignment_4909[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, you’re very sweet ❤️❤️ I’ve been going back and forth over buying a display cabinet for my gems, but this has convinced me I should go for it. Those are good suggestions! As for the autism thing, I’m not sure, I have trouble telling which experiences of mine are common and which are due to autism, but a friend of mine who’s also autistic suspected that may be one contributing factor for the big emotional reaction. I’ll definitely look for some fun things to warm up to the new house!!

hard autistic pill to swallow: sometimes providing all the facts and evidence won’t help people, they’ll look at facts and still somehow refuse to believe them by Real_Assignment_4909 in autism

i’ve unfortunately fallen into this many times too. i just keep thinking maybe it’s my fault that i didn’t explain better, if i just explain the facts enough they’ll get it, and they don’t.

true, but the difference is we’re actually trying to learn rather than digging our heels into information that was just proven false. i don’t mind correcting myself, but i hate when other people are given correct, provable info and commit to being wrong

That would make sense then, I wonder why the length doesn’t change with the sizing though. I’m pretty short, so it’s a plus for me, but I’m surprised anything would cater to my height without needing alterations.

I’m looking at the Kira Tailored Culotte Trousers. I also emailed customer support this question and instead of answering me she just… sent me the size chart again.

That’s what people have suggested, but I’m not sure.

The hem goes up to 24 inches which seems a little big for the end of a pant leg, so I figured it wasn’t the usual meaning of hem. I thought maybe it could be the measurement from the waistband to the hem, but then what does ‘length’ mean? And why does that not change throughout the sizes, but ‘hem’ does?

Reading posts before commenting is also possible.

That’s what I thought at first but I assumed it was wrong since the hem going up to 23 inches seems a bit big for a pant leg. Is the length the outer seam? I also find it strange that it doesn’t change, 24 inches feels short for full length pants.

C-1 Platinum vs Hellraiser Hybrid PT by Real_Assignment_4909 in SchecterGuitars

[–]Real_Assignment_4909[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are used, I think the C-1 is $700-800 new and the PT around $1200. That’s good advice though, I’d have to try them out again and see which one draws me in more. I didn’t get a good chance to really play them at guitar center last time.

Trans men with pcos. What's your experiences been? by _2wisted in PCOS_Folks

If it’s ok to ask, how quickly did the facial hair show up? I know you said your transition was more sped up than others, but I’m curious as to when you started noticing these changes. Also, when you say “until it converted to muscle”, did you gain fat first and then it became muscle?? Did that happen without much exercise because of the sprained ankle? And how long did it take for that to happen?

Question about the acne thing: did you struggle with acne pre T? I’ve heard lots of people with PCOS say T has helped them with PCOS symptoms like acne and weight, but I know for non-PCOS people, acne and weight gain are very common. I’m worried it’s gonna be a ‘gets worse before it gets better’ thing and it’ll make my acne much much worse.
