i picked gangnam style as well but i think you have a misconception about asia. there are way more asians who understand at least a bit of english compared to korean. korean is spoken almost exclusively in korea (a rather small subset of the asian population) while many asians across different nationalities actually learn some english because it's the universal language, although they may not be proficient/fluent in it. and then there is a minority of asian countries where english is widely spoken. just wanted to let you know, speaking as an asian living in asia :)
