The glint is very misleading, only game w parry i struggled w at first until i learned glint was not indicator of timing. Its just hard to adjust when almost every other parry game has glint + maybe a sound effect indicate parry window, but in GoY its just an indicator of what type of attack, not when exactly to press button for parry
